You should have put your cake on some foil or something to keep it off of the perlite. Better yet, you could put a short little platform in there, and set it on that, so that the perlite has more area for water to evaporate off.

Ya I didn't think of foil I had it on a plastic lid before but it got a bit slimy from misting and the water was just sitting underneath I'll build a platform that does make sense thanks man

Why are people who get spaceships 'lucky'? Is that particular phenotype more potent?

I have a lot of people always asking me for PE, but it takes longer to fruit, and the yields suck (my clone is getting old and shitty, gotta start again from scratch). I hate growing PE, tbh. I love watching it fruit though! Like cartoon mushrooms...

Anyways, if KSSS is normally not funky spaceship shit, and puts out normal flushes with PE potency, then I have to get some of these. Am I missing something here?

I have been wondering, what makes the top of the caps of mushrooms turn black like that? I thought the spores came out from the bottom where the gills are. Unless they comes out the top too?

The air circulates them, and they stick to the tops. Sometimes I get little swirls of them on the caps. Look beneath the mushrooms. They are all over the substrate.

They can even create their own humidity and air currents to spread their spores.

Honestly I won't even laugh at the guy. I still have trouble figuring out how the tallest mushroom in the canopy won't drop its spores onto the caps below it, and won't make the caps of the ones around it black, but somehow the spores travel perfectly through the air from the underside of the gills nicely to the top of the mushroom. The idea of "mushroom wind" is still confusing as fuck to me. Something I haven't been able to grasp still

Spores are microscopic, and very easily carried by air. I can easily see why they don't just fall straight down. I've never heard anything about mushrooms creating their own air currents, but I could see this happening via some sort of heat/humidity exchange mechanism. I'm sure evolutionarily speaking, anything that makes the spores travel up and out is probably beneficial and selected for.
