Hey guys, I saw a picture of the craziest looking shrooms on this thread a couple months back. I'm trying to find it again but 1500 pages is just too much lol.

The shrooms were the darkest deepest black I've ever seen. It was like the shrooms were dipped in some glossy black substance oozing from death itself. Not sure how else to describe them except the glossy black ooze color of their caps (and stems if I remember right? Could be wrong about that)

Kind of a long shot, but anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

You are talking about spores on caps. Finding the specific pic you are
referring to would be really hard seeing as a lot of people post pics
of shrooms with sporesplosion caps

Haha they were probably picked late and the caps were black from spores. Its not ideal, and spores taste like shit.

Yes half gallon jars. Cooking off 8 of them now :laugh:
Naw I did a Biopsy of mush to agar then LI to LC after 2 transfers. I might have to give that a shot though once I get my flow hood going

Yea. Old school was to put it in a ziploc bag for a few days. Wait for myc to grow. You can usually see if it's contammed or not. If not, drop it in lc.
I haven't done that in a long time, but I may have to and document it here just to piss some people off!
