Mushrooms are phototropic, not photosynthetic: meaning they use light as a directional que and not in the conversion of energy... mushrooms are closer to animals than plants in that they convert oxygen to carbon dioxide during metabolism... without lights they're still gravitropic, which means they use gravity as a directional que as well... they will get all sorts of stringy and small caps in darkness, but will absolutely grow with zero light

oh OK - guess he mentioned alt-7. probably should do some searches instead of just mucking up this thread with questions like that - thanks. Just searching for which cube strain I want to grow next. there's so many hybrids I can't seem to keep track anymore.

It's obvious from pining agar plates that were left in darkness or from substrates that pinned in darkness that fruits will form and somewhat develop in minimal light. I hinted at leaving the light on 24/7 for the future making of one of these gifs and the reply was "I know they'll grow in 24/7 or with no light". Ime Filming in darkness with infrared will probably not generate a gif showing normal healthy looking fruits so in that sense the statement isn't true. But then again he could also have meant that he knows they will grow without the need of supplementing with artificial light to be able to grow normal looking fruits.



These are AA+ and they're fruiting a lot different from the LGT. It's coir cakes from a Water tub

Yeah the two pics you pulled are Whyte Gold and atl.

The atl is grown same as cubes but the shrooms are around twice as potent, plus it makes truffles. It’s weird checking on a tub and seeing huge cracks in the surface from truffles pushing through.

I wouldn’t be surprised is the trip is similar to pans, the stems of both are very similar.

Melmak are gonna be massive finally. Wg came out nice, small pinset but I don’t really mind since I gotta take prints but prefer not to let caps open in big tubs. Only like 190 first flush. Then pulled a handful of toc, big harvest tomorrow!
