Mere speculation. Please point me to a study that has isolated the hate gene. I wont hold my breath!

Disagreements do not have to lead to hate and intolerance. Respect and tolerance are another possibility.

We are flawed and imperfect we always have been and always will be....

In comparison to what? That statement just seems like a meaningless throwaway comment to justify continuing stupidity. I suppose that is easier than actually thinking though.

I don't lack vision, I just dont share your happy go luck stance on things if you cant respect other peoples opinions then why bother posting here. This is a debate not a place for demeaning others because they disagree with you. If you have difficulty accepting others views then perhaps you should go post in OTD

At what point did I say disagreement has to lead to hate and violence I simply said that there will always be different views.

I expressed an opinion that you lack vision. Is that not permitted?

As for not demeaning people I note that you have called me delusional and told Gern to Fuck off in your last few posts!

Try taking your own advice...

the fuck off was in response to Gern's arrogance, which by using the most famous latin quotation there is, he admitted.
You and Gern are a like a little tag-team (merely an analergy due to the fact hat you both seem to be "ganging up" so to speak) that avoid the issues by spouting personal attacks simply because you can't respond to a simple question.
You have turned this into a mere bitching compitition when in fact all I wanted was a serious debate. It is no wonder this board is mainly full of liberals when anyone with another viewpoint cant even argue their point.

We could get in a nice little loop here couldnt we!

You want to debate so I take it then you are going to prove that hate and intolerance are genetically wired into humans and are not merely a feature of socialisation?

I don't recall ever telling anyone on this board that they couldn't argue their point. I was simply stating a viewpoint of my own, which happened to be contrary to yours. I don't recall being arrogant - which is not to say that it's not possible for you to construe my comments as arrogant.

Nor do I recall personal attacks against you, avoiding any issues, or the inability to respond to a "simple question". As I can't find anywhere where you have actually stated a simple question, I'm going to let that one go, too.

*tags... shit i dont have a partner*
I dont deny we have the potential to be accepting and tolerant but intolerance and hate have become a large part of us. I didn't mean we are "genetically hateful" but hate it would seem has become inseperable from our better qualities.
To me it just seems beyond our reach to attain a level where everyone is unjudgemental, by saying

Quote:

we are flawed we always have been and always will be

Although saying always will be, is close-minded I believe it is true for the forseable future.
I was referring to the fact that since the beginning of what we class as civilization there has been intolerance and persecution.
