If I don't like someones posts I'll just skim over them, and theres a good number of people on this site who's posts I don't read. They're usually long winded, saying something with 4 paragraphs which could be written in a few words in every post

That's completely true. But what's the harm in ignoring someone who does nothing more than try to irritate people like myself? I go on the internet to have a good time, read some interesting things, have discussions once in a while. Not to see people criticizing my beliefs for no reason other than to piss me off (as well as other people who share my beliefs). I don't have time for that shit.

Again true, but some of them have so little to offer that it's hardly even worth trying to find those diamonds in the rough.

I ignore people on here for the same reason most people ignore Kim Jung Un's threats to blow up America. Their words aren't worth the attention we'd be paying them. And to do so would just be a waste of time.

Any other reasons are likely to be variants of those above and this is why I have never put a single poster On Ignore in 14 years.


They cause cognitive dissonance and give me headaches with their jokes

:lol: nope, I've actually only got 3 people on ignore right now. I used to have several more but I've loosened up quite a bit. I might have ignored you for a couple days but I was in a particularly pissy mood at the time.

Even though you often come across as a cynical ass, I agree with what you say more often than not.

I put SneezingPenis on ignore when I first joined here. Don't remember why exactly, but I could probably guess.

I thought about ignoring zappa, but decided that I needed to observe him in order to learn tolerance.

Could well do. I try and meditate on the thought that it's not likely I will ever encounter anyone else so utterly incapable of seeing the other side of any issue, and with that in mind zappa is almost like a force of nature, something to behold.
