seeing things as they are is immensely liberating - enlightening
habits may kick in

some habits are immensely imprisoning - it takes perspective to apply enlightenment - in fact a habit of perspective could be called enlightenment.

I think everyone here has a habit of perspective, but not everyone here actually accepts liberation by seeing habit as the manageable thing.

Seeing things as they are isn't always as they are though.

It's similar to words.
An ass can be considered part of the human body but also a personality..ie, that dude is an ass.

Enlightenment is subjective, as is everything else.
Enlightenment is just a word that attempts to quantify a feeling we can have and we all get that feeling at times.

Enlightenment is subjective, as is everything else.

IMO nobody is enlightened.  IMO some people are. IMO everyone is enlightened. 

The whole question could easily be an ego thing or a way to pacify anxiety.

Perhaps it is simple enough as God saying, "There, that chap gets it, he's Enlightened and this is what he can do with the funny super-normal stuff."

Enlightenment is as subjective as the most subjective thing on earth. One guy might think he is the most enlightened guy on earth and another guy would say something like, man that guy does not even get it at all he is not enlightened at all like me.

I would also add, the bigger circle of your supposed enlightenment the bigger the perimeter of your ignorance.

Possible to be enlightened on a subject or another, but I doubt there is such a thing as total or absolute enlightenment of knowledge/experience.
