Who is interested in astral projection??

Well, I have found a new world in which to explore and make my wildest dreams come true. If anyone hasnt checked out astral projection I seriously reccomend learning how to project at will, it will open up a whole new world of possabilities for u, and help you to understand yourself. It is a very spiritual thing, and just reading about it will change you life for the better. I mean, a world within your mind!! What a thought. Even for you guys who dont beleive in the astral realm, maybe you want to just be albe to conciously make the transition into the dream world? The world of your sub-concious. You dont have to beleive in the astral realm if you dont want to, but there is a scientific explaination for the OOBE as well. it is as simple as a dream. Maybe you dream the whole thing?? Regardless of wether it is real or not, I suggest, for those of you who havent read about it to do some reading about the subject. Absolutely fasinating, to say the least. Ha, two weeks ago I thought that people were just dreaming the whole expereince, until............I know its real now, it has to be!!
It has changed my whole perspective for the better. I am now more open to new ideas than I have ever been. You really have to expereince things for yourself. For anyone who wishes to find a msg board about the subject, there is a very small comunity that has a msg board. There are some great, intelligent people there, and we need more people to join the community. Go to www.astralforrum.org(if that doesnt work, inform meand I will fix it). It will change everything, once you get into it. If anyone has any expereince in astral projection, maybe you could explain some things in this post. Maybe we can get more people into the idea of leaving they're body at will.

I agree. Astral projection is a very fascinating subject with infinite paths. Every time I think about it I get a nice warm feeling in my heart that lets me know everything will be all right. Im still working on a conscious exit. I have found it to be extremely difficult. I think I need to master meditation before I can go any further. Oh well, I guess ill just have to settle for lucid dreams until Im ready for the conscious exit. If anybody else is interested in this subject please post or pm me. I have a lot of thoughts on the subject but only really want to share them with people who will take me seriously. Anyways here are some good sites with forums about APing and OBE.

That happened to me once. It was a sudden and intense vibration of my 3rd eye that totally went away when I moved slightly (to get more confterble).

You do realize that because of this statement:

I go thru phases of lucid dreaming where I can be anywhere and experience anything I think of. On one occassion I actually 'popped' out and was staring at my body bathed in a blue light. Totally freaked me out! I got greedy and tried to float up and away but as soon as I did I was back inside my body. I too need to learn to mediate, I just can't clear my mind.

I would also argue that the out of body experience takes place only in your mind, but if ANYONE can prove otherwise (project yourself into my house and tell me what you see), then I'd believe otherwise.

Acually, I think the astral plane is real, but for people like Swami, there can deffinetly be a scientific expaination for it, that is why I put that in there. Its quite simple acually. Concious transition into the dream state. Anyone can beleive that, unless they have never had a dream before. And yes, its .com I am a fool, and was in a hurry. This morning is when it happened to me. Finally all this hard work, and I made it out!!!!!!! hOLY FUCK YOU GUYS ITS REAL!!!!! I cant explain what happened, I floated out!!! I did it, for about two seconds!!! Wow, is all I have to say, words cant explain how exited I am about this. Who gives a fuck about vertual realtity, we have a holodeck right here!!! Our mind!!!!!

Yeah i agree...seems very cool. I to am very interested. I had quite the experience last night. I don't know if it's astral projection(cause i don't know anything about it)...but i guess you'd call it an out of body experience. I projected myself, into my room, and i was floating and looking at myself, and I could even look around my room. AND..i could even make faces, and at the same time, see my 'human body'(the one laying down)...making them. I've never had anything like that happen. and was rather kinda of scary. BUT AWESOME. I was conscious(sp?) the entire time.

So i totally believe in stuff like this now

edit: when i said conscious...i meant...not sleeping or anything

ive been interested and have tried for about 5 years. however, i have a twitch in my right pinky finger. i can totally relax my whole body but when it twitches, i can't help but break concentration... sometimes i wish i could cut my right hand off. it has bothered me for as long as i can rememer...

i thought about trying acupuncture or something. oh well, i guess i gotta settle for shroom trips. (not complaining there)

I have some gnarly out of body experiences when I close my eyes on psychedelic drugs. Other than that I haven't developed any discipline for doing it unintoxicated, and I dont see myself having the patience for it anytime soon, but it is very interesting.

Had a experience once with astral projection , was laying down and was consciously meditating and my thoughts were on flying around our solar system.
I remember visiting several planets, actually i think all of them was even real far out like Neptune, pluto. It was quite the experience, due to my laziness I have falied to preform that again , which I really want to.
From what I believe astral projection is more of a conscious projection of yourself in space-time. What is the only "thing" that can transcend space- time? Our consciousness. Thats why I think its possible to transcend large distances in very short time....... Just a thought....

Hmmmm has anyone else done it on mushroom trips besides Grav?

I only tripped once and it was more like a demo version rather than a proper experimental session, but for a second i thought i performed telekinesis!

Never had it straight. My sleeping patterns are crap so i dont bother with lucid dreaming right now.

Sometimes when i lie in my bed and know that i better turn on the other side but i'm too lazy to do it, i feel some kind of pushing sensation in my body. When i try to concentrate i loose it. Was that anything related?
