Something I read today.

We can carbon-date stuff and see that it was here long before "thinking" arrived here.

I completely agree with that statement for the existance of things which aren't physical (God, the soul, etc.) But lets say someone is standing on top of a really tall builing, and they are either dumb, or high, or whatever and they think the street below is actually a nice deep river that they can safely jump into. Is it??? Would you recommend that person go for it???

Wow man, like maybe to all outside observers the guy like dies and splatters all over the street, but realities diverge, and the guy swims to the other side of the river in his new reality.

The thing is if you are in a cave and looking at a a wall and there is a fire behind you and you see the shadows on the wall. And someone is making something for you to watch using the shadows. The shadows are not the reality. So you have to get up and go see what the reality is. One way is the leave the cave.

The thing about asking well if you dont think it is it really there. <--- that is total nonsense.

If one was to sit and look at the shadows and let them be his reality, that is fine, but in reality those are just shadows there is something else controling them. And besides all that there is a much greater reality outside of the cave. And if the person does go outside then they have a responsibility to tell others about it.

Dont you think?

Your eyes can not be the judge of what is real. People can see many things that are not really there. Maybe our brain that makes us want to see what we see and therefor we believe what we see. But where is the line draw, if i take a knife and cut myself, and i see myself do it....Did i really do it?

what are you talking about? if you take a knife and cut yourself even withOUT looking at it, you've still cut yourself... I don't understand what you're saying dude.
