God is simple, look around, everything has reason and order so something must have intended it be that way.

Very good point, I haven't looked at it that way.. that's one hell of a good argument.

Well, most astrophysicists and cosmologists don't believe that the universe is a fractal. I know that some do however.

Have any examples you could illuminate us with?

The most baffling questions only need simple answers, yet science trys to say a bunch of irrelevant bullshit must come first.

How did the universe start? Well it must have been created.

Well what created the creator? Nothing, the creator is the end of the line.

Well what if the universe never had a beginning? Even better, god is infinite, so it makes sense that the universe would be created co-eternally with thee infinite.

Why is there life? Not meerly by chance, the selfish indivudal who thinks he his not part of this perfectly calculated system/ecosystem is a fool.

aww, I was hoping for researchers or published papers... Thx though.

It still looks like mysticism to me.

I know that there are some published papers about it, but you will have to find them yourself.

What do you expect him to do, blindly believe Wikipedia or those other two links to a Creationist Website?

Furthermore, even if there are published papers on the fractal nature of the universe (which I know there are) that doesn't make it true.  Plenty of hypothesis get published and dont pan out.  The fact is, at this point the 'evidence' for a fractal universe is tenuous at best and mystical fantasy at worst.

Wikipedia is the most reliable source in history of mankind. Get with your times already.. everyone can edit and add stuff to wikipedia. It is full of links to verified scientific articles. It's the links that count, not the content.  Some people simply are too lazy to do research and only want to talk about their own beliefs. Those people do not care about the truth, only about their own truth.

Dude, that Wikipedia article doesn't substantiate your claim.  Quite the opposite, its an extremely short article that only talks about a handful of notions and attempts to describe the universe as a fractal.  Nowhere in that article does it say that a fractal universe is a mainstream accepted scientific theory, nor does it give any convincing evidence.

I agree that Wikipedia is, in general, extremely accurate - and this time is no exception.

Like I said, it's the links that count, not the content.  Check the bottom of wikipedia page, it is full of links to scientific articles and sources.

Dude, we're not asking you to take what we're saying on faith. We're asking you to actually look at some info and, god forbid, think about what we're saying. Obviously just because someone says something it doesn't have to be true but it is impossible to determine what is true if you don't actually analyze it.

I think the idea that the universe has fractaline structure holds up to and is in fact reinforced by all of the analysis I've thrown at it, and that is why it's what I believe. It's not just because there's a fucking wikipedia article.
