Simple terms for me on this dimensions thing, anybody care to school me?

Got this from the oneness post.
How i define oneness is we are all connected, My actions indirectly affect your actions becasue we are both on the same 4th dimensional membraine that moves like the top of water.

Basicly we experience things in 3d, we have depth, width, hiegth, the 4th dimension is duration also known as time.

So height, depth, width, and time are all dimensions. Ok so that is why people say that some 'drugs' can take you to the 5th dimension? I mean all of your senses are changing constantly and time slows and speeds as it pleases. Just tryin to get some lamens terms, anything I look up on the net seems to be pretty complex and I am not the smartest one out there.

From my understanding of this film, we live in a 9-dimensional snow-globe of a universe, which can be represented in the 10-dimensional field as a point in 13-dimensional space.

This film imagines the fourth dimension to be a linear representation of the 3-dimensional world over a given time, like a timeline.

Given: The first dimension is a line, the second dimension is a plane, and 3rd dimension is space. Now, imagine drawing the entire 3-dimensional universe at a given point in time, followed by the entire universe at a later point in time, and connecting these two moments together. This is the 4-dimensional timeline. The 5th dimension would be a time-plane, and the 6th dimension is time-space, which represents the realms of possibility; the places you could have accessed had you traveled down different paths in 6th-dimensional space.

Funny you give out that link. I just showed this video to my friend today. It's pretty interesting once you accept the premises. They mention string theories at the end, but I'm not sure if I want to jump into quantum psysics and such. Anyone care to clarify the general content of string theories ?

A dimension is a nothing more than something defined by a static point. Thus, while the possibilities of a dimension are limitless as an extention of that point, they never cross paths with the possibilities of another dimension based upon another static point.

There will be much confusion over what constitutes the 4th + dimensions for the simple reason that they depend solely on the defining point. Therefore, one is apt to start to confuse the map for the territory, so to speak. The dimensions only become progressive in relation to, but distinctly different from, the previous defined dimension.

As an example of one set of dimensions we have:
oth dimension- The point
1st dimension- The line
2nd dimension- The surface
3rd dimension- The shape
4th dimension- The force-without-matter which has influence upon the shape(gravity, potential energy, electricity, magnetism, human mind etc)
5th dimension- The true will of the shape(without-force-without-matter)
But this is just one defining set of dimensions.

But where does perception come into play? One good way of defining what a consciousness can perceive in terms of dimension I've once heard is that a consciousness can only perceive the characteristics of the dimension below it. Therefore, in the case of humans using the above mentioned model, most humans would be defined as 4th dimensional entities. Yet some can, through certain means, transcend this limitation and begin to perceive things of the next dimension(that which is the office of their own consciousness), thus becoming 5th or even 6th dimensional entities.

Of course, always keep in mind that this is only based upon the static point of the dimension defined. Remember not to confuse the map for the territory.

tee hee this is fun. i love the 5th demension but i dont think people understand how to use it and i will say that i dont think all beings are aware of their pan dimensional powers which give others powers over their powers. which is groovy

yeah thats why imbreed is kinda bad yet what this world was founded on. now thats theres too many people for this planet to support its kinda like oh shit now we have to stop and look thru the confusion and accept that we imbreed and what breeding is really all about. this will take a bit of time and realates to that dream post. Theres one truth and reality and until we are all there we cant live it. Until we figure out what started the breeding in the first place and love it and understand it we cant progress.

This world isnt doomed to failure but alot must die for this to progress, physically,spiritually and psychologically.
