Sure, if everyone acted like Christ the world would be a better place. I don't think things are that simple though, and I don't think you can blame Christianity for the evil things done in it's name (this applies to all religions). People will always find something to justify their point of view (who knows, maybe in 100 years from now people will use atheism as an excuse to start wars), it seems to be human nature. Better to address the specific problems then to attack the excuses people use for them.

At least with Atheism feuled wars, there would most likely be a "real" and tangible reason. War is natural, war over fairy tales is the problem.

Not necessarily in my opinion. I could see a situation where war was declared on a religious nation to 'liberate' them from their harmful beliefs.

The way I see it, religious nations will destroy themselves, with no help needed from Atheists... I only see a nation of Atheists defending themselves against religious "warriors".

even without the religion there are a lot of fairy tales that have prolonged and provoked the wars we are currently on

and the war on drugs is also based upon fairy tales.

its the critical mindset that we need, and it is hard to use the critical mindset when we are paralyzed by fear (of hell, or maijuana, or hippies, or terrorism, or the blade of the King etc)

It's the people that make the wars. Religion is just a "catalyst" or just an excuse between many other excuses.
Of course that Christianity influence is manner out way of thinking and most of the times in a bad way.
Basically a war can be started for whatever reason as long as human mind takes it as an available option. And from what I know the notion of was is still in our blood. And for as long as we're going to have it, the disappearance of Christianity wouldn't count as a noticeable change.
There will still be people living in fear, hate, people who need to control others and so on.

No. Personally, I enjoy offending the religious taste of conservative Christians. It is my failsafe against intolerable boredom. Although they may effect our political system in horrible ways, will probably prevent Transhumanism from ever really manifesting itself, and probably reverse the Flynn effect, I think my brief entertainment is more valuable than all of that.

I wish there were less postmodernists - these chumps do the same things I do (piss off the bourgeois), but they claim some elusive moral highground and get all up their ass in messages. Their artworks sucks, too!

Are you suggesting we go to the churches that house TV preachers who sell themselves and who's churches are more of a Jesus Walmart and physically destroy them?

Christianity is a strange religion. It seems like even the groups around my campus that are the most accepting, at the same time, restrict themselves to be friends with those only in their church.

I've noticed this with one of my friends and then my other friend told me about how when they went to their youth group that the pastor asked for a raise of hands of who had friends they hung out with that are Christian and everyone rose their hands. Then the pastor asked for hands of people that hang out with friends that are not Christian and my two friends were the only ones who had their hands up.

These girls are black but fairly light skinned. The 3 christian friends are comfortable around them but, while at dinner, a blacker or black girl, jasmine was there. Jasmine is a very devout Christian and very very pretty but these guys are essentially intimidated by her and won't talk to her. I know she wasn't an asshole bc that's not her but it was just strange.

I'll admit that I tend to stray away from ppl I can't understand. THere's jamaicans on the team and oneof them I can't understand half the time so I'm not so anxious to have a long conversation with him. I've gotten better but that's one problem I know I have.

Anyhow, we need to initiate Operation Pull Head Out of Ass.
