Re: The Nature of the Mind is Clear Light [Re: dmtrypr]

Oh, yeah, I totally agree. When (if) that light shines on me again, it's gonna be the sweetest thing ever! The thing is, the way it is right now, it's hard to believe that there even is light. I'm not even depressed, this isn't basic depression, this is just existential angst. There is no way for anyone to talk me outta this. I suppose I could drug myself happy, but it would only be a superficial happiness and I like to stay away from that which removes me from reality (alcohol, opiates, anti-depressents).

Anyway, thanks!

Well I've been thinking about it, and for us to feel there is something wrong with our reality or worldview there probobly must be. And if something is wrong, there must also be a right way things are supposed to be. If unhappiness is created by the tension of being in the darkness, there must be a light we are supposed to reach.
I think even though we are close to the truth we are misinterpreting it, and getting confused. If there is confusion there must be clarity, if there is nothing there must be something. This means that the Light must be all that we want deep down, and not what we fear.

Have you ever tried any energy techniques such as chi-gung, reiki, jinshin jyutsu, pranayama, etc? I experienced darkness which threatened to cloud who I was from friends, family, etc. and like you felt hopeless to do anything about it. I began to research such energy techniques simply to learn about the "unknown" as before that point I was a skeptic to the extreme, even thinking that there was nothing after this life which led me to be extremely frustrated/cynical with the state of our world and my own state of being. After some time trying/practicing chi gung, a whole new world opened up to me. I realized that what I was dealing with before, was a mind/body/spirit complex that was disconnected, leaving me feeling alone and helpless. As I continued to pursue the energy techniques, I started to put my own spin on them and at one beutiful moment, I actually experienced light moving through my body. Never before had I encountered anything but absolute darkness. I then began to meditate along with trying yogic stretching and more energy work. Soon enough, I could see areas of my body appearing in my minds eye, AS LIGHT! My physical body actually began to change after several months with muscle spasms and mild osteoarthritic symptoms clearing up or disappearing all together. This energy is real, you can call it soul spirit anything, but the fact of the matter is that you can use it, and if you choose to believe and to experience it, it leads you back to YOU, but not the frail human you, but the all encompassing grand magnificent infinite you. I expect this to sound farfetched, but if I didn't experience this for myself, and saw the benefits compound on a daily basis I could not be writing this to you. I think that I am a person who experienced such darkness in my own life so that I may help others to find the light that I am now experiencing. And you are right, there is no talking yourself out of a state of being, it does require work, it does require faith, but the payoff is enormous. I would like to hear what you have to say about this, but I want to emphasize that I am getting a very strong intuitive "knock" if you will to continue to write to you. My goal is not to satisfy my own desire to "persuade" anyone. My goal is simply to do my best to show you a way. A way that I myself have walked. This way is a path of personal discovery, of wonder, and of realization. It is unique to everyone, but I am here on this earth with a passion and desire to offer my experiences to you. If I can do it, you can too. You have to want it, you have to believe it, but it can be done.

You hit the nail on the head man.
The result of a deep psychedelic experience is "I am all that is."
It is the cosmic joke. Just like you can see any issue, it can be bad or it can be good. Look on the bright side, at least you should never be embarassed anymore. Why would you care if you saw yourself naked or any other such taboo that civilization creates. You just must remember that you choose the side to take on anything. Just change your side...

what ive come to realize is, even though 'i am all that is' i could spend eternity getting to know myself and the novelty of it would never wear off. Look around you, as far as you can see there are shapes and beings, scenes and landscapes, beauty and wonder, and its all you man! and yet, you are also the ego. As long as you are the ego, youll never get bored, because you have decided to become finite, meaning you can now experience the infinite.

I realized this especially during some whacky lucid dreams. I was like WOW this is all in my mind, and yet all around me there are infinite places and things to do and see, so many of them that if i were to dream like this for a thousand years i would never see it all.

To me this was not a fearfull experience, it was joy! you call it VOID but it is not void, not emptyness. It is an infinite space FILLED WITH YOU TO THE BRIM! and because for now you are but a part of yourself, you can experience it forever! its truly amazing to be swimming in a sea of yourself and yet always being amazed what you see.

The void is not empty! it is not a void! it is FULL! and you dont need to feel so lonely because the parts of YOU that are outside your ego are in the operative sense not you. If that makes sense.

What i mean is that just like i can have meaningfull relationships with people in waking life, i can have conversations with MYSELF in dreams (even if myself takes the form of a talking gorilla named chilton) and yet still wake up feeling like i learned something i didnt know before.

THis is because life is a continuous process of REMEMBERING who we all are. There is no loneliness in that, only continuous joy of discovery. Trust me man, the loneliness comes from the illusion of seperation, not the realization of unity!

WE ARE THE BORG> DO NOT RESIST

sorry
