OOoh, gonna noc them up with fresh prints or LC/LI?

Gonna do combo of agarwedge/and prints

I'm loving the 2oz jars for RGS starters from agar/LC

Get a good view to track progress, and swift colonization to 'noc up pints of oats or my new hybrid mix for manure lovers

Often I'll add + on label if the myc seems exceptionally fast, and prioritize those for expansion

I prefer small grains at start, as they can spread out further and hopefully have a week turnaround time expanding to fresh spawn media

:takingnotes:

What is RGS?

Rye Grass Seed, there was a while where it was trendy around a decade ago. I mean it works well from what I've heard/

I honestly love grass seed for master jars, so many inoculation points and since there's hulls, it works better for myc than competitors who need surface nutes

Granted its pricy compared to lots of spawn options, but if you expand to Oats, it fills in the gaps and you only need 1/2" myc growth to be hitting all the kernels.

I used to mainly use it for Tampa .. but been expanding my horizons

I've done it with success. Wipe the container out with ISO using a clean paper towel for each wipe and wipe away from the substrate careful not to touch the sub. If you don't condensation can carry spores or cells over to the sub and infect it again. I'm not saying it works 100% of the time but I've pulled 3 flushes from a tub I did surgery on.

Great tip, thank you. I hadn't thought about the leftover moisture.

Day 36 since inoculation.

Second generation of the Matias Romero that I managed to salvage. This is the second of the three cakes I made in this batch and the one that has yielded the most of this variety.

dont know if this counts as cultivation, more like putting together than cultivating but anyways...

The question now is: can I somehow grow some shrooms in there? If I crack the lid open I guess it could work.
