its funny, I've noticed the traffic on /r/conservative was way off for the past few days.  some of the usual insane-take accounts I'm accustomed to seeing there haven't been posting.  we're unlikely to ever find out whether thats due to bot infrastructure being taken offline or other factors, but last time russia's ability to bot was impacted, everyone noticed a quantifiable reduction in traffic from some real suspicious "influencer" accounts. (lots of "conservative American white mom" type accounts went dark and were later found to be registered from russia).

I wont give the site enough traffic to personally verify but i saw that with the russian bots knocked offline temporarily, trump had a truth social post today that got only 12k likes (he has 12 million "followers") and all of the top comments were shitting on him. 

it wont last long but its really really interesting to see how much vitriolic trash has been coming out of those russian data centers.

I see lots of anecdontal evidence and nothing real.

3 Yandex data centers that all are likely backed up, must really have had a lot of traffic. Everybody and their brother has a story about bot traffic and this outage.

The only data point I saw was Yandex http requests dropping. Consider there are thousands of data centers and Yandex isn't even the only host in Russia, this is starting to feel very western propoganda-ish to me.

There is a copy pasta repost about /r/conservative mods and somebody's "research" that is making the rounds on reddit. It seems to be fake and or bad science. There are many news articles, again, the only data point is http requests.

In this specific case, there's no real data to support Zelensky's claim though, and he has plenty of reason to want to rally support. Tweets with proof don't really count anymore, and those that want to believe this are also the ones that hate Twitter and Elon the most. Odd juxtaposition as the article uses Tweets as proof with no verification. The entire article hinges on two people tweeting and one quote from Zelensky. The comments pile on thanking Ukraine for fighting this war. This is true on Reddit and on Twitter.

Western propaganda at its finest. Maybe some real data will come out, until then I am not jumping on board. It's just not how data centers are managed, and the lack of real proof showing Russian related traffic is difficult as we know this data would be private anyways.
