This place is pretty silly. The omc can be so toxic. If you skip the kowtowing step it's okay to be raked. Today's 1am dinner was pretty good.

A fellow 1am dinner enjoyer. Truly one of the finest indulgences. Just fired up our wood stove for the first time this season. Looking forward to when it'll be every night and I can start cooking in the middle of the night regularly again.

They outed me as a lowbrow puppet, but then I turned out to beef and Traven, so basically now some sick puppet master is pulling his own strings in otd.

Weird as it may seem.

Also my junonius clone seems to do what it's supposed to do, the part of me that's lowbrow doesn't know what that means and the Churpy part is like woohoo partay! Life is so complicated sometimes

God I miss having wood heat. Even just the ritual of keeping it going. Stoking the warm ashes back into flame every morning. Can't fucking beat it. I've also worked in a couple different wood fired restaurants in my day, adding fire management to the mix on the line makes things very interesting lol, shit can go sideways quick. Also ramping the oven up after close and coming in in the morning and baking bread on the downcycle is cool as fuck.

Just making fire everyday and tending to it, is partaking in a very ancient part of what it means to be human. To have cooked meals and hot water. Falling asleep next to a roaring fire on a cold night. So good

Absolutely, I lived completely off grid for several years in a place where it's winter 5 months outta the year lol, relying on fire for warmth and carrying all of your own water and shitting in a bucket is an incredibly humbling experience. I never take plumbing or electricity for granted ever.
