Continued to what? It was meant to teach a more advanced way of spawn propagation, which I think it does quite well.

No. i had the most success when jars incubated at 85. I checked from 68 - 94 at every temp, made logs, went through it very scientifically and 85F was the best.... no matter what current trends say. If you want to debate temps, start another thread. I dont want this one to degenerate into that argument

This is a truly wonderful find. such helpful information.
the only thing that could make it better would be the addition of pictures. Specifically about the drying method. If some one could post a few pics of their modular drying racks, I would be very thankful.

I don't think I've seen this thread before. I like reading it alot; some of the advice is dated, like keeping jars in the dark, but a really good read.
But this:
Quote:
automan said: In grain to grain transfers, a pint jar will fully colonize in about a week. Think on those numbers for a minute:
Week 0 to Week 1 = 15 jars Week 1 to Week 2 = 225 jars Week 2 to Week 3 = 3,375 jars Week 3 to Week 4 = 50,625 jars Week 4 to Week 5 = 759,375 jars Week 5 to Week 6 = 11,390,625 jars
...well, that's Shroomery gold. Love it. I wouldn't ever bother using pint jars for doing g2g, but this is still great.
Like automan is saying, if you're a brand new cultivator, start with spores then get some grain-to-grain transfers going, use a glovebox.
Worry about doing isolations, cloning, LCs even, until after a succesful project. ~P~

High five to Psuper.
This is exactly where I am. Which is why I bumped this post. Spent a little money on a single syringe. Then PF tek'd, then printed, then cloned, then G2G. Now just waiting on whats in the works and thinking of what's next.
Discovery is Awesome!
