First proper batch of chocolates.



Smoothest mixing process was with the cheapest compound chocolate, like I melted one of those big coins from the dollar store. Smoothest pour. Cheapest option around is vegan as well, so that is my next experiment.

I had an ochra do that once. Took a clone and future batches grew out normal, so probably something environmental/contam related. Didn't seem too dry, based on the walls.

Crosssection of this first flush Albino Country Cock, 55g, solid stem, as soon as I parted it the cap already had that blue in it.





Happy clone, let's see which one ends up being the culture winner between that and this one, I called Fat Cap

Not really, but I was using compound chocolates/molding waffers, which melt easier and are less problematic than trying to use real stuff.

When I add the mushroom powder it does seize up a bit, so I end up having to use more chocolate and squirt some oil. I used canola, which in retrospect is bad because it melts at room temp. Hopefully it stays contained within the hydrolized chocolate hehe.

Still learning, but overall it's a simple quick process. Just need to get better mixing bowls and figure out a better ratio, 10:1 is still a bit much. I'm just using condiment cups right now, but I want to get proper molds, so that I donm't have to weigh each one, just fill it up, but for that I need my mixture to still be pourable ideally.

Those are beautiful! Do you happen to have more information handy on the origins and how that particular strain was domesticated and or cultivated(what traits were selected, how many transfers per lineage before fruits like this were produced, and probably something obvious that I am missing)

User Axman did a giveaway a few years ago to people here. Mine came from a clone wedge of a 200g mutant fruit. The thread seems to have been deleted and Axman hasn't been around in a while so IDK.

I am not sure if it's just an APE isolate that he named (guy I got mine from said APE isolate), or if it is a cross of APE x Country Cock, which does have an entry, I don't know how reliable this place is but I find it a good resource..
