Haven't done PF tek for a while and only done PF tek with multispore before, that's what I first started with, but since this is a single dikaryon that have nothing to compete with it seems to grow more evenly than multispore. Looks so clean :grin:

Since this is a "new cross" and a single dikaryon, can there be variation in this first generation or should they all be identical?

I was looking closely at your pictures in this post and was thinking, "what is that...is that meat? Is that...actually bacon?"...then I realized what I was noticing were vermiculite chunks!  Pins are looking great!  Good luck! :laugh2:

It's been a long journey with these PESH, they've been throwing me some cool phenotypes, monster mushrooms here and there. But today I was surprised with the best cluster I've encountered so far. For sure cloning and printing

The Meeting



In the past incompatible specimens have formed a "wall" or gap where they refuse to overlap. In my successful cube crosses they overlap very slightly at the meeting point.

This attempt has an overlap. That isn't definitive proof of compatibility, but it is an encouraging sign. I'll let this plate sit for a month and hope for pinning on the mono side.

Dala’s semperviva, +20 days since S2B, 3:1 straight CV (1 qt), wheat spawn, started in a 1-gallon zipblock tester, grown to clone, moved to a covered tray in a Martha tent on foil on a peepad on 9/29.  Seems to be going great, considering the approach I used, and got me the clone for the next (more conventional) grow attempt. Hoping to get these far enough along to harvest a nice sample dose.  First time growing these.


pans/TTBVI, +5 days since first harvest (13g wet), +20 days since S2B, 3:1 straight CV (1 qt), wheat spawn, started in a 1-gallon zipblock tester, grown to clone, moved to a covered vented tray in a Martha tent on foil on a peepad on 9/29.  Doing ok considering the approach used, and got me the clone for the next grow; new knots so will keep it going for awhile.  First time growing these as well.

Productive morning. Transfers and cryovialing of oysters. Inoculation of low nute plates with some Pan Cyan Peace River. All in total 20 plates done and wrapped. Will label and log tonight.
