Well... My first try with b+ and a pre made Mondo substrate turned out nice and all but they were kinda small so I didn't expect that the brf cakes i made from a liquid culture with the same spores would do much better but to my suprise they became absolute monsters. Started out like cute Spacemen with the hats open and ended up as behemoths. 102g wet was the final product from just a few shrooms with the largest one weighing 53.5g wet and 4.8g dry and it instantly turned blue when I cut it open before drying.

One single picture ain't enough tho.

This is just spawned rye + coir.

Next run will be rye + manure, and then to coir.

For one pancy box I want to add casing to when colonized. That is, if it even gets that far :smile:. I'm new to working with pancies. Or, I'm trying for some time now already. At least my mycelium (from spores I got as a giveaway) has improved.

You and I are both new it seems to pan cyans, so that's why I will be following your progress diligently! Might help give me ideas! Mine were labeled Hawaiian pan cyan when I started my agar work, hope these aren't too tough to grow...

I have another Hawaiian pan clone going as well. But those are now growing on agar, and not yet ready for rye. The Hawaii I got as a grow kit, and they did pretty well. Still going actually, currently 4th flush. To be harvested today or tomorrow. It just keeps on giving! I really like the delicate appearance, but actual pretty tuff stems.

First mushroom grow in my life, and first post about growing mushrooms. I picked a new Dutch strain called Marshmallow Shrooms “Psilocybe Qubit”, a fat Cubensis hybrid. Growing it using the Shrooly growbox, they’re side pinning but overall all going well so far, I believe they will be ready in a few days. Also tripping on Dutch truffles as I’m writing this lol

A nice bouquet of subcubensis! 230g wet.

This is by far one of my favorite genetics. I have isolated some of the biggest fruits and will try to grow each of the clones.

Was trying to do Beef’s coir chamber for an AIO bag, but like an idiot I broke it trying to roll it in coir…so now it’s just a tub. But colonizing nicely

So for hedging my bets, I made a small grain jar. This had recovered well after shaking, so I spawned it to a small tray and plopped it into a ziplock. Gave me an opportunity to get a little practice with hydrating coir and mixing the spawn and substrate. Let’s see how this works out.
