Pins are almost full fruits now!!

I'm still not sure if my split caps are due to low humidity or just genetics/rapid growth

Seconded those are gorgeous. I'm still learning though did you just take a tissue sample and place it on agar and those beauties grew from it?

This is after many careful transfers and sweet nothings whispered in darkness.

That myc looks great to me

Creamy myc is referring to the edges being rounded off like the myc is running into a wall of bacteria..  not seeing that here.  Poking a hole is horrible idea.  Don’t do that

Excessive water might slow colonization down a tad but it won’t ruin the grow if the bag is sterile.  Remember, we grow myc in straight water all the time (lc). Extra water doesn’t just create bacteria… it has to be present

Ohh shitt so might not be a failure afterall thank you  i thought the spiky hyphae branching out was unhealthy rhizo growth like my last one that ended up successful but i thought it was happening to early for me to do anything about it.

The contam guide is pretty much does it kind of look like this it might be this. And I'm not expierenced enough to decipher it apparently.

I don't know why I thought it looked creamy to me. Probably because I didn't understand the concept of having rounded edges like it can't escape the bacteria. Knowing that it definitely isn't creamy.

Thats a really good point about LCs and another thing I very much misunderstood I thought you used some other kind of liquid other then water to make LCs. I hadn't really read the guide that much cuz I'm not there yet.

Thanks guys  I'm happy to report i did not poke any holes and contaminated a Probably fine grow bag

Learning to identify good/bad spawn was by far the hardest part of growing for me.

Generally if you can see the fine hairs like in your picture then it’s clean. When it’s bacterial/creamy instead of little hairs it’s just a thick blobby/rubbery looking growth.

PEs ar more potent supposedly but slower to grow. Although Nats are already more potent than your average cube.

this variety has been doing some consistently funky stuff w/ tubs.... anyone know whats going on here?

Super long consolidation times and the beaded moisture on top becomes more like a gelatin that looks borderline like a part of the mycelium. The pseudo casing also bruises blue and almost appears to be a fruiting body in the later stages...

Id say their trash, but they have put out some great fruits here and there in addition to all the aborts and blobs which appear to be growing within the substrate itself
