Pan Cyan, BVI and wheatgrass.

I'd make a deal with God

I'd be running up that road
Be running up that hill

God that looks so gorgeous. Is the wheatgrass part of the proscribed process for making growing those easier or something?

Thanks!

And it's an experiment based on some past experiments that seemed promising.

A more detailed post about it is here.

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28966068#28966068

And notes about this current experiment are here in my journal.

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/28952233

This is a comparison shot with a tray that was otherwise the same aside from it had half as much wheatgrass and knotted a day later due to lighting.  The pinset with more grass pictured previously is much fuller.

Other plants would probably work well too. I just happen to own a juicer and have a bucket full of wheatgrass seeds.  Someone on YouTube was experimenting with white clover and enoki I believe.

Not where I got the idea, I borrowed mine from nature and other random experiments I've seen around the shroomery with other species.

My first harvest for this grow! And it’s my first grow since 2020, so I’m glad that I wasn’t too rusty to pull it off. Got 220g wet from this shoebox, and I’m excited for the other nine shoeboxes to fruit.

Couple pics of current grows.

And a gamechanger for still air box work.
You can actually see what your doing.

I just started recently and I made this before looking at any pictures. So I didn't realize the holes were supposed to be in the front. But it works really well for me. I stand while working and I'm kinda tall so my arms reach inside no problem. And since I'm standing I'm looking through the top of the box.

my back hurts imagining
Ergonomics aside... you should be mindful that air enters that broken left corner and you're warming the top layer of air inside with that lamp, so the air is not still. Also, are you using a elevated grid so you don't work where the nasties land?

For the few minutes I'm in there my back is fine. Remember I just started. Not doing anything substantial.
I hear you on the broken corner. There is a cookie cooling rack inside. And the floor is flooded with iso. Light is only on when working and it's a low wattage led so not much if any heating up of the box. I appreciate you looking out though.

If it works, it works. But I was always partial to smaller lights, like the tent lights they sell at REI or small work lights you can find at Home Depot. Also if you get a bigger tote, like a 105qt it’s much easier. I would write a tek, but it’s been done to death

That was my all time favorite mushroom story. The city scooped up the wood chips and spread them in all the public gardens!
