I envy such people…although I’d wager the blissful ignorance plays some part in a portion of those people.  Or else they figure that people will forever screw others over and pick a side and demonise the other, and maybe they take mushrooms and decide that’s a game for intellectual children.
    Lately I’ve viewed the entire political sphere as a catch 22.  If you ignore it you might breathe much easier, a huge and grotesque weight lifted off your shoulders, but then that beast just keeps churning out more laws and restrictions and if you’re ignoring it…you might just not have any warning before you get rounded up for whatever you weren’t paying attention to.

And then if you let politics into your life it can become obsessive, and lead you to hate who you’re instructed to, and it can sit so heavy on your shoulders that life seems darker and more selfish and partisan and petty than it otherwise might be.

That’s just me, perhaps.  Personally I have to enforce a break from getting caught up in it.  Frustration often ensues. And then  anger.  And then depression.

They say, anti-monarchism and industry don't go far enough.

Openly-communist countries have borrowed our concept of revolution.

Except, they are a couple of revolutions ahead of us, they say.

They think that the parliamentary procedure is kludgy, whereas I think it is a generator of controversy or revolutionary.

The problem is that at some point during the process of trying to make a communism. Some person has the ability to have all of the power in the entire country at their disposal. So far nobody has been able to resist the urge to take all of the power in the entire country for themselves, so there has not been an actual communism in human history.
