Oh good call I didn’t see that. I’ve always done 2:1:1 verm:BRF:water, and sometimes that’s been too wet, depending on the verm.

I had tall one's come up first and picked them to avoid sporulating, some say spores are no big deal. Basically to me I just put the tall one's in the dehydrator and waited for the others to evenly get tall...

If you're talking about just lifting the rack like above the water...??? I just use 4x tuna fish cans. I've kept 4x smaller thinner and 4x the bigger ones. I just drilled a hole in the center of the bottom of each can to let the air escape. Any can will do. It just needs to be the basic height that you are seeking. If you have tin-snips, then you can cut the cans down to whatever height you want. :super: You can do 4x or a triangle of 3x. Either should be more than stable enough.





Yes, get the rack above the water. I'll be doing 4-4qt bags in the PC, so I've been told both the PC for 3.5hrs but also to keep the bags above the water so just trying to get my water to last that long and the bags above the water...

I like the can model you shared but do you think the glass mason jars will also work with the mason opening above?

What is the best way to get parafilm off of glass Petri dishes? They are becoming a huge pain in the ass lol can a soak in something help?

I was swimming in agar dishes when I first started. My advice would be just go crazy and get as much practice in as you can getting your technique down.

Looks like I need to over buy on pp disks. :smile: Getting four syringes, and thinking of doing both BOD's and Pastywhyte TEK's on 5 each on AGAR, for 40 total on MS.

This will be interesting, will be going at least 3 wide for each isolation so will stack up for sure.

Should do some dry runs...

A non-polar solvent should remove any parafilm or residues.
