some quick questions about my treasure coasts

First of all,
i have a bunch of little shrooms that grew about 2 inches off my cakes and then died. are they any good to eat?

secondly,
i have a few shrooms that are ready to be picked, will the fuzzy mycelium be fine to eat, or should i dry them first?

lastly,
on one of my shrooms, underneath the cap is turining black and part of the side. what is that?

man, lay off, oftentimes people read by looking at the whole rather than each word, it saves lots of time. I too somehow misread the last question in the exact same way he did, he obviously knows it's spores, if two of us midread it as such, perhaps there was something about the language the question used that causes people to skip that part, who knows, lay off man...

Mystic1 was wrong on two of the three answers. He/she shouldn't be spreading disinformation and you shouldn't be defending the person for doing so. Granted, we all occasionally misread and make mistakes. Although maybe if a few other people addressed those who post bullshit smuckspert replies on this board some of these people would be more prone to thinking about whether or not they actually know the answer before they reply.
