Mold or tomentose?

These are mea dishes inoculated from ms syringe. Because it was impossible to get just one drop onto each plate I assumed a mix of rizo and tomentose. After reading another thread about mold on agar and the separation line between them I question three of the dishes.

D2, D4 and D5: mold or tomentose neighbors? Especially D4!

Those are some massive wedges, mine are generally the size of a pin head.

Hmm ... I'm following RR's example from his video. As long as the myc section is clean. Seems to be working out.

With larger wedges, you increase the chance of transferring hidden contaminants...

Makes sense. A smaller sample, I would imagine, would also isolate a single line quicker.

Got mine yesterday. Fucked up and got case of 300 and sleeves of 10. Real cool though they have a grip ring.

Do they come with parafilm? or do you just use cling wrap?

I have a roll of parafilm from last year. Should last through this case.

I definitely prefer sleeves of 10. I find the 20’s are awkward to get out. The last case I got, several were crushed and broken so every sleeve is a complete pain in the ass.

Yeah it dont bother me too bad. And actually the case of 300 is a reasonable sized box. I was dreading the giant box but it's not bad

Finally got around to using a my new LME agar. Here's three transfers I did, left to right:

Penis Envy "S-tray" transfer 5. My plan is to use this to create a master jar for G2G.
GT "Giant" clone. Transfer 4 "final". I plan to drop this to grain and see how it grows. Came from almost 50g fruit.
APE "Nate". Transfer 3. The last transfer was pretty clean so I dropped it on grain after grabbing a small isolate to transfer.

Also, check this plate out that was left sitting around. Looks like the myc is attacking that mold, thought it looked neat. Almost like it's zapping it with lightning:
