How I store bulk materials in a small space 3

Hey ya'll. I live in a pretty small space and need to save the most amount of space & money for this hobby, so buying in 40#-56# bags of things happens pretty often. I have a methodology that I use pretty frequently, that has worked so far for tons of different types of bulk items, so I wanted to share it.
I started doing this because I wanted to carry smaller weights of bags once things are in place, and I wanted to save time when doing "the work" portion. These containers are easier to manipulate, and faster to grab.
To follow along you'll need the following items:
- Large Bulk item
- Gallon Ziplock bags (recommend sliding ones)
- Aldi Recycled Eco Friendly Bag or Ikea Tote (see below)
The Aldi bags I like because they're cheap ($2) and made with woven plastic and heavy duty stitching in the handles. I learned about these bag's resilience when camping and using it to haul food stuffs. Here's specifically what they look like:

Next thing you'll want to do is take all of your bulk item bags and start breaking them down into the size of bag that you use for one session of work (or 1/2 or whatever). For me this involved breaking down oats/rye/millet/manure down into 10c bags:

I recommend figuring out how much grains/substrate/whatever you need per PC run/spawn run/whatever you do and breaking them down into that. For example, for Oats, Bod's Tek recommends 1-1.25 cups per quart, which means half that for pints. When I do bag runs of grains I usually take 2x 10c bags of grains to prep, and that creates about the perfect amount for 4 bags that I run in my PC, so this size expands upwards for me nicely. Figure out what works best for you before breaking it down and you'll never have to look at the volume part of your recipes ever again.
There are a couple of things I store these in. Easiest to move around is the Aldi bag method:

If you want to get a little fancier, I found these SORTERA bins from IKEA. They hold prepackaged grains perfectly.

The best part about doing this is that once you've gone through your small bags, you can save it in the bin to be re-used later (not for the manure though, I toss them):

I don't have pictures of me breaking down other things, but here's a list of bulk items that this has saved me a ton of time on:
- Grains
- Manuer
- HWFP
- Nutrition supplements
- Straw (though in garbage bags into contractor bags, but same concept)
I'm sure you can figure out other ways for this to work too. What are some of your storage tricks when you're dealing with large bulk items in smaller spaces?

IMHO the space doesn't need to be super clean, you just need the air to be still. turn off the A/C, cieling fans, close all doors and windows. Hang out for 30 minutes and let micro-currents die off before working in the SAB.

Some shelves would fix everything, that’s the next project.

and in a big tote in another room is my coir, poly, grain, filter lids and odds and ends.
and in the kitchen is the agar supplies, scale, empty no pours, unused shoeboxes under the counter, PC, stock pot, and 5 gal bucket.
I cant wait to have 1 room dedicated to this. OR eventually have the space to put a nice outdoor shed I can myco pimp out
I am really curious as to how you guys go about organize and maximizing your space. Maybe there isn't any real elaborate answer or system and possibly its all preference but I would like to entertain the convo
Current arrangement: spawn/jars/FC/SAB and all lab tools

but grain is just sitting out, agar supplies somehow take up 2 cabinets
-------------------- All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I’m fine. Whatever you decide won’t really impact our survival Close your eyes, and do the best that you can
