Strangely, non of the leftists in here are willing to openly express their opinion about the new Mexican agenda.

If they support Mexico's immigration policy and nationalism for corporations, then they clearly are back tracking on their one world order agenda.

Cognitive dissonance

I don’t see the contradiction here. AMLO was elected president of Mexico, not the world.

Do you support Mexico's plan to stem immigration and move all manufacturing back home?

The point is AMLO realizes WHY migrants exist and is working with other nations to stop it from existing. This is what we should have been doing all along: promoting economic policies that bolster the wealth and stability of central and South America. Instead, we exploit the fuck out of them and overthrow their governments, then waste a shitload more money on refugees and border security.

I see you try to throw a racist angle in there, but that is clearly now defeated.

We have brown people calling other brown people Invaders, which has nothing to do with color.

Like many Trump voters, these Mexican citizens are upset about immigrants flooding their country. Even the mayor of Tijuana said the caravan was a nuisance.

Your race card is about done.

Trump is an ace. He is showing the world that regular people simply don't like thousands of people being dumped into their lives.

But nobody cares about the Mexican or American working class. Their grievances are always second to those of the migrants.

Native population wither away from the darkness cast by the massive pedestal illegal immigrants are given.

I think we should bring back manufacturing too. I have been saying that all along.

So has Trump.

Yeah except his brilliant tariff plan has backfired and our biggest domestic manufacturers are laying off tens of thousands of workers.

It doesn’t matter because it’s never going to happen under our global capitalist system.

If you’re a capitalist, and you want manufacturing jobs back, you’re for lowering the standard of living in America to that of Indonesia or Bangladesh. Because that’s the only way it’s going to happen. If corporations can save money by going overseas to build their products, they will. Period.

So, then you think Mexico has bad policy by wanting to bring back manufacturing?

How do you feel about them wanting to stem immigration and deporting people?

AMLO wants to fix Mexico’s economy, and bringing back manufacturing jobs is a good slogan for that. What I’m saying is it’s an untenable position, so long as corporations have cheaper prospects elsewhere. Do you disagree?

It never left. Jesus. Manufacturing output is nearly at record levels. The jobs are disappearing due to automation.

I agree.

You can't do business with when the government is throwing a book of regulations at you.

Take away regulations and it is possible. Lower taxes and it is more possible.

I see that you can easily denounce your own country, but you dance around the idea of being critical on Mexico's policy.

Do you think their policy of bringing back manufacturing to Mexico is good or bad?

So you’re saying we need to model our government like those of Indonesia and Bangladesh, correct?

The minimum wage in Indonesia is $98 per month. Is this what you want for American workers?

I believe there are routes to bring our manufacturing back and keep a decent wage. There is more than one factor at play. They can be adjusted.

What kind of tariffs increase the trade deficits?  The kind that are bunk.  We BOTH know that if the US wanted to reduce the trade deficit it wouldn't be that hard, but taking trillions of profits out of the hands of the elite is very difficult.

Let’s say you’re the president, and I’m the CEO of a large manufacturing company.

Convince me to bring jobs back to the US.

I don't really see hoe this topic is against leftidt viewpoints. Leftists may support globalization, but that doesn't necessarily mean what you seem to think it does which is that we want to flood the country with immigrants and have all of our goods produced over seas.

More so what it means, to me anyway, and I'm sure the meaning itself is quite subjective, is that we have a global cooperation and a global community. We do not view our own nations as living in a bubble. If it's more economical to produce goods at home then I'm all for it. If the iron mines are all in chins, and are the foundries, then it makes more sense to produce the goods there and ship them around the world however. It's about doing what is smart and the most efficient.

As far as immigrants go it's abiut vieeing them as fellow human beings instead of outsiders. If they pose a threat then sure, take action, but it seems to me that the right views everyone not in their direct vicinity or that doesn't look very similar to them as an immediate threat that is going to come rape their women, steal their jobs, and sell their children drugs.

I get the whole "global community living in harmony" rhetoric, but somehow people forget about the slave labor, child labor and exploitation that comes with globalization. It's not all rainbows and unicorns.

As far as immigration, if we don't need them, what's the point exactly?  Just to be nice, I don't think so.

I need a spending report for the country. I would need to know which factors can be altered by law.

Some factors I see at play are regulations, taxes, mandates on businesses, and labor rules.

Actually, your own statement says it has everything to do with color.  Mexico isn't trying to turn away white people from the north, are they?

So allow corporations to dump their waste into our rivers?  Allow corporations to bypass safety regulations?  Allow corporations to not pay minimum wage or overtime, and screw over their workers however they like?  MAGA!!!

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.
