All profits would still go to the rich, the sweat shops overseas would still operate whether they produce tshirts for the rest of the world or focus on another product, the welathy in both countries would still make the same profit, it would just result in the US working class being unable to afford as many tshirts as they need or purchasing them anyway at the expense of something else. How do you see this unfolding differently than I do?

Because very recent economic history in the US completely debunks that nonsense you just spewed out.

What recent history are you referenceing?

:justno:
The retail price would be the maximum that the market could bear, just as it already is.  I doubt that would come to $70.  Either way, the difference would have to come out of profits and shipping costs or the t-shirt company could simply fold.
If you think that manufacturers and distributers are passing the labor savings along to you, I've got several bridges for sale.  Been to a home improvement store lately?  A supermarket? There aren't any cashiers anymore, that labor has been outsourced to me, the consumer, but I don't see prices coming down.

We should be building bridges not walls . I can use a bridge , I’ll never use a border wall for anything .
The  wall was a lie , it’s a trick trump played on guillible voters  who are completely ignorant of what it takes to build a 2000 mile long wall over canyons and mountains  . How foolish do people have to be to waste so much money and effort on something we can’t afford  that can be easily defeated with a ladder? Rember when 20t in debt used to mean something to conservatives ? Funny how it’s not a problem worth mentioning anymore now that a white guy is spending our money .
People much smarter than you and I  agree with me also .

Trump's $25 billion wall would be nearly impossible to build, according to architects

The 1960's, 70's, 80's.  You know, when a tight labor market created high wages and low profit margins.

Do you really think profit margins are locked at a certain rate regardless of the fundamentals?  It doesn't work that way. The capitalists were very frustrated during the era listed above.

My apologies, it's more important to use slave labor in third world countries, shut down manufacturing in the US, increase economic inequality, maximize profitability for the elite so Joe Six-Pack can buy cheaper goods at Wal-Mart.

Did you ever think that the average American would be a lot less poorer if they had a higher paying job in their country?

that's what i get for asking you a simple yet serious question.

save your fake, patronizing apology and non-answer for someone else next time.

Border Walls are barriers in essence. A deadbolt, a door, a window, a fence . Border Walls keep the people inside safe from extra national ills. Walls promote stability in : a homogenous culture, a social contract, a shared history, economic sovereignty. Saying walls are useless is unimaginative. The human trafficking element alone is worth having a well established wall.

How do you define a "tight labor market"?  We've had plenty of tight labor markets since then, unless you have an alternative definition.

The 50's, 60's, and 70's were great, but then Reagan replaced New Deal economics with Trickle Down economics.

A "tight labor market" should see consistent wage growth.

I see.  So the labor market was tight from around 1949 to around 1980, and loose from around 1980 to present, regardless of the unemployment rate?  Is that what you're saying?

The walls of my house , the fence , the door and the deadbolt don’t do a dam thing to keep me safe from people . Works pretty good for animals and the elements but if a person really wants to come in all they really need is a big rock . It’s my alarm , pile of guns , and killer instinct that does that .
Did you know they  have ladders in Mexico ? Thats all it takes to get over a fucking wall . Do you think Mexicans are retards or something ? Walls give people a false sense of security , that all your border wall will ever do .
I’m not trying to say walls are useless I’m just saying it’s a poor choice for stopping determined people who want to get from one place to another . Takes allot more than a wall to keep people in prison .
Is human trafficking worth being 22 trillion in debt ? How about 23 ? Whatever they tell you the wall will cost it’s going to cost way more . Nothing is worth a wall that’s not a sensible statement for this .  Walls cost money . How much more are you willing to pile onto the debt to have it ?

They made a tunnel into pablo escobars prison cell, you don't think they can subvert a wall? There are so many ways to do so. All of the criminals that you're so worried about will get in, it's not going to stop it. How much could the average illegal possibly cost us to where a multi trillion dollar wall inckuding the regular maintenance it needs would possibly be cost effective? It'd probably be cheaper to just build all of the illegals houses.

That is because the economic policy here is make the rich richer and fuck the workers as hard as possible.  There will be no industry remaining.  All these countries that got usa jobs outsourced to their cities are pollutiing themselves to death.  Then there will be no industry bade here, to take it back.

There are no good jobs.  You need a college education to even get close to a good one.  But I'm a felon so what do I know about getting a job?
