I want to express my gratitude to everyone on this board who helped this bumbling old timer get back into this hobby.  Those of you who advised me (and there were a lot of you) watched me crash and burn in every idiotic way possible.

Thanks for taking the time and helping me every step of the way with your advice.  I truly listened and tried my best to be the best student possible.  While there are many things I want to improve, I hope that sharing this with you shows the time you took was appreciated and time spent on someone who really valued your expertise and was humbled that you helped me.

This tub is by no means perfect and I made mistakes with it that I learned from in this first try.  Lots of things I know I should have done better but only learned after the fact. 

Cron, Pasty, Bodi, bking and anyone who advised me in any of I posts along the way.+ I am so appreciative for you encouraging me and advising me when I was just a total bumbling fool.

Thank you so much for being a supportive and helpful community.

Here are some topside views of the tub as well as some from the side through the tub.  Those ones are not as clear though for obvious reasons.  But this should give you an idea of how the first one is going.

It's far from perfect, but it's not bad for a guy showed up here with these kinds of results when he started back up:

There were SOOOOOO many things wrong with jars:
1. Bad first spore source.
2. Really bad pressure cooker
3. Too much moisture in prep.
4. Too much water in PC.

Even with this tub.  There are a lot of things I messed up since it was my first so I really want to get those corrected on my next two tubs.  Though, I am happy with this first try.

I've been reading up on the things you RR, Cron, Bohi, BK, and so many other people.  I can't say thanks enough.  I came from a time when black glad ovenware with untreated coir in water with a bottom and top layer was the thing to do...  I'm so amazed at how much more people have done since those days.

Oh really?  I guess all I can see and think about are the things I didn't do the way I wished I had on this project.  Though I am pleased for all the things I didn't do well that SOMETHING is happening on that tub.

Hahaha those jars were me making fun of my out of shape old brain for this hobby.  The jars are what I first returned to this board after some 11 years away from the hobby.  They were bacteria and mold.  With the help of people like you though I was eventually able to fix that set of mistakes to produce that tub!

Here is an update with pics from this morning.  By afternoon and late this evening the tub already looks a lot different than these pics.  The pins are much larger and there seem to be more of them.  I'll get those pics up tomorrow, but this was the progress as of this morning.
