Evolutionists get too caught up in their own head.  Seek to find god, and spend time with him in spirit.  he will show his existence to you.

you can come back to these forums and the rhetoric will still be here and you will have more to back up your claims with.

The tactic they use is a very common fallacy. Of course, no matter how many times it is pointed out to them, they merely plug their ears and continue on.

Here is the flaw: deconstructing another's theory/hypothesis does absolutely nothing to support yours. Yet this is basically all Creationists do is try to deconstruct evolutionary theory. I have no problem with that. Of course, they only present their work to a captive and ignorant audience and not to reputable journals. This is not science, it is preaching.

Back to the main point: If a Creationist was able to totally destroy evolutionary theory, that would not be evidence for Divine Creation in the slightest.

why does doubting the "theory" of evolution necessarily qualify one as a creationist?

is it unscrupulous to require more authentication to be convinced that evolutionist theories possess a marked truth?

i'm not challenging or taking sides, I have no definitive proof, but neither do you.

yet how much "proof" is required before an ideal predilection is apparent?

if a young earth creationist was able to completely prove that evolution does not exist or occur it would really only leave creationism as the truth.  There are people with the knowledge and intellect to do so, but this will never happen because then they risk having everyone find Jesus and salvation.

Do you realise there are many creation stories? Which one are you suggesting is the truth?

What more authentication do you need?

Fossils? Check.

Carbon-dating? Check.

Studies observing the evolution of fruit flies and other species? Check.

See, that's the problem with creationists, is no matter how much evidence there is, they will continue to deny it and refuse to believe it. They need to SEE IT WITH THEIR EYES OVER BILLIONS OF YEARS to believe it, which is kind of ironic considering the whole belief in Bible and God.

:failboat:

This is why I started the thread. Disproving an alternate theory does nothing towards confirming another theory.

no...not disprove the evolution theory...if they disproved evolution conclusively.  then we were either created or been here all along...carbon dating ages things in the billions of years but it was 6000 years ago that god used these materials to form earth.

what creationists?

what defines the policy of truth?

what truth do you truly have knowledge of that you have not witnessed with your own eyes?

There are plenty of things that we cannot see with our own eyes. Oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the air, for example. We cannot see gravity, for example. While we can see the phenomenon of gravity, we cannot actually see who or what is performing the gravitational pull.

So perhaps gravity doesn't even exist because of the earth's gravitational pull, perhaps every time we drop something the devil is pulling it towards his home in hell.

Also, does anybody see the irony of a religious person claiming they don't believe in evolution because they cannot witness it with their very own eyes? I'm not saying you are one of these people because I don't even know if you're religious, but I have frequented religious people who do this all the time.

By definition the concept of faith is believing in something in spite of evidence. You cannot see god with your very eyes. You could have never seen creationism taking place. Yet people believe in these things and then say evolution (which has a mountain of evidence), is the one that people need to see to believe.

idk, but it is logical that if you proved evolution to be conclusively wrong then creationism is what's up.  Disproving theories doesn't prove another one.  Theoretics are just humans playing "what if."  Creationism is having everything spoonfed to you in the bible and you just have to go with it.  Jesus proved that you can live as a human but deny the flesh and pursue our spiritual urges, which is our true nature, spirit.  Our ego blinds us from this true nature and we think that as humans we can figure it all out.  But why...why should I care about dinosaur fossils, I'm not about that life.  I don't believe that humans evolved from lower forms, we were created in gods image and our salvation was bought at a price.  God's glory is on a whole new level, it's some other shit and before I forget, that fail boat looks like noahs arc!

if you seek god and walk the path and spend time with the holy spirit, you will feel it's presence and know its existence.  I can witness it but I can't prove it to you or describe to you, just like I can't describe gravity to you.  I can derive the calculations that describe gravity and then call the theory a law, but that isn't righteous

what would be your definition of god? i'm sure plenty of people would argue they have seen god, could you truly deny their experience?

the definition of faith is precisely what i'm getting at.  you're pushing your idea, saying "i'm correct!, i'm correct!", yet if one hadn't witnessed whatever your proclamation of evidence was, would you expect them to agree with you on faith alone?

this is not a pissing contest.  it is about the truth.

it's not just taking gods existence on faith.  I also have faith I will not be given more than I can deal with and that god will see me through.  that helps me more than making fun of what I consider stupid people.  is gravity the devil pulling you closer to hell?  doubtful.  Are there people that think like this?  yes there are.  Is it funny?  Sure, but it's also immature to laugh at a misguided person. It would boost my pride and my ego, but i'm not about that life.  when I read the bible I get the spiritual feeling and vibe and when I find it I try my best and keep it there.  I can now differentiate between the spiritual and non spiritual.  I have nothing to prove or argue and I get more than enough out of posting this if only for myself to read.

Wow, really? I honestly had no idea people actually believed in this. I was laughing because the idea was so ridiculous there's no way anybody could believe it.

I don't have any problem with that. If you get a spiritual feeling from the bible, more power to you. I want people to have the right to follow their faiths. You just have to understand that people are going to debate you if you are going to make claims about the scientific validity of creation or the bible.... (not saying that YOU have, just other people have.)

they can try but it's not up for debate.  if they ask me a question for their own education i'll tell em what I know, but if you are trying to change my beliefs with rhetoric it's a moot point.  Your words got nothing on my faith.  You go listen to your obnoxious bill hicks god bashing stand up.  listen carefully and you can almost hear him give himself cancer.  then go back to your doubting and let your mind perceive flaws in creationism "theory."  Meanwhile i'll go back to the faith, and that's all I need.  I don't need to know why god punished job or slaughtered cities, I wasn't about that life.  He doesn't do that kind of shit to me, so I got faith that he knows his shit and has reasons why he does what he does.  to think otherwise is where creationists fail.

Most hate-filled and ignorant statement ever made here. That kind of malicious faith no one needs.

Of course, if you had the slightest, tiniest, remotest bit of evidence that The Faithful do not get cancer, then I might listen. Alas, you have nothing but darkness in your heart.

Please leave. :bye:

The main flaw is that it is not even remotely a theory, but just a bald assertion that only the feeblest of minds would latch onto.
