Yes and they exist here. Just not in my area, plus its pretty damn hard to get a job in worker run co-op. Hoping one day to get lucky with that.

Keep in mind that I'm working off allot of student debt, and relocating my entire life is not an easy thing to do.

Espicaly with a degree in political science. I would have gotten a great paying job if i went for a business degree or an IT degree, but I would have been miserable.

education doesn't have to be a formal university. I've gained infinitely more education from my own research and through work experience.

Like I said; I'm pro-socialist as long as its voluntary and people are free to join or leave on their own volition.

I'm against coercive, statewide socialism which is always ultimately enforced by guns, imprisonment, and violence.  A democratic majority does not justify imposing such a state wide socialism on the minority eiher, the democratic majority can all join their own socialist co-operative, but the minority should be able to opt out, they should not be forced to also join or face violence from the state.

A couple of responses to the posts here.  Now, about Native Americans, since the left seems entralled with how they lived before the greedy white man came.

Understand that in, for example, the Sioux nation, 1) Every swinging dick was in the army 2) Even the leaders went to battle. 3) If you were too old or sick to fight, you stayed back and defended the village, or helped the women 4) If you didn't work, you starved.  There was no welfare.  You hunted, or made something, or bartered with others. 

If you could not work, either family or friends fed you or you died.  That includes if you were too sick or crippled to work.  The point is, everyone carried their own weight.  Everyone. 

As far as polution regulations, well, we need some.  the problem is, the EPA has become a political weapon. The government agencies are out of control.  Example--a couple years ago, the EPA raided Gibson guitars because they said it was 'illegal' to have malagasay Rosewood.

Never mind that every other guitar company uses it.  The confiscated the wood, and kept Gibson in limbo over it for a year.  No charges were ever filed.

Gibson is a conservative owned company.  Funny that the O administration didn't go after Martin, the liberal owned guitar company.  After all they use more malagasay rosewood than anyone. :smirk:

THATS the problem with regulatory agencies.

I'm not disagreeing the EPA is corrupt beyond belief, but the idea of a public funded agency that protects the environment is essential for a modern society.

I can proudly call myself a socialist.

I like the communist manifesto as a whole, atleast. Though there is some issues with gender equality in it. And yes, it's an old book. and some things aren't accurate anymore. Still the Bible is like ten times as old and people believe in that shit. Also I would say I am more liberal on social and personal issues that most socialists (and Mr Marx).
