Beer Is good for shrooms!!!!(Update)

well i injected a few cakes with beer that was boiled for 15 minutes. the cakes were mid-flush after the injection i noticed the shrooms on the cakes that were injected had grown much larger than the cakes not injected. the fruits were much larger than other fruits i have gotten on cakes.

Well, beer is nothing more than fermented grain juice. It would deliver additional water and nutrients to the cakes and shouldn't hurt since boiling removes the alcohol.

Whenever I cased cakes, I did nothing to prep them. I birthed them, crumbled them into a pan, then cased them. Always worked well here.

There is alcohol in beer.  But if you boil the alcohol off then you probably can.  I don't know how much nutrients can be in beer.  Just drink it!  :grin:

What about the carbon dioxide levels in beer, wouldn't it harm the cakes?

The CO2 will be boiled off as will the alcohol.

boiling the beer should remove all alcohol and all carbonation (CO2).

Beer is alcohol + water (simplified). The boiling temp of alcohol is significantly lower than that for water. Therefore, if the water is boiling, the alcohol should be already gone.

next i will be dunking cakes in beer. i will post results as they come. i might use the dunk tek and straw tek (beer substituted for water)

well all my "pre steralized" jars have contamed. but that's another experiment. so i desided to try another beer related experiment. ok here goes.
1.) let whole brown rice soak overnight in beer(that has been boiled for 15 min.)
2.) mix with 2/3 vermiculite into 1/2 pint jars
3.) make a damn spore print cuz i am out of spores all together
4.) make syringe
5.) steralize jars
6.) wait to cool and inject
7.) sit back and see if it worked.
