Maximum SHroom Size, Growth Potential
    #645739 - 05/26/02 07:32 AM (21 years, 9 days ago)

Whats the end of life cycle for a mushroom? after the cap tears away from veil and continues to grow will the shroom just keep getting bigger and bigger or will it eventually stop growing... I know psilocin and the alike are stopped from being produced but the overall size of the shroom does that continue or does that stop eventually as well?

Thanks

indicaz

They do get considerablely larger after the veil breaks and the cap begins to flatten and then start turning upwards. I odnno, ive always felt if there was more mushroom, there would be more psylocibin in that mushrom, however I guess its not the case.

I had an EQ a month ago that was a good 7 inches right as it was tearing its veil. I checked back on it a few days afterwards and found that grown to 11 inches, but the cap was all wavy and upturned. :/

it just would seem to me that more mass equals more weight...
and that is why you would want bigger shrooms, to get better yields.

I have heard and read that the shroom becomes less potent as it gets bigger/older.

Question is is that loss of potency really noticeable?

thanks
