#1 Excessive air exchange? (with proper humidity compensation)

#2 Average air exchange (how much is that?)

#3 Slow air exchange.

Example, lets say your terrarium is 1.38 cubic feet (or 39,328 cubic centimeters), what would be an optimal amount of air exchange?

In my setup I "think" I have total control over air exchange, And I'm not sure how often to exchange the air. My air pump claims to pump 550 CC/min, So I currently exchange the air in my terrarium every 71.5 minutes (or so :smile: ) (20 times a day +/-) Is that enough? Too much?

Co2 concentrations are an often overlooked aspect when it comes to size and proportions. Therefore the air exchange system in different set-ups makes a big difference.

In a hurry, but 3-4 times an hour is recomended air exchange for cubes ala TMC. More discourse to come.

AH HAH, that would explain why the mushies closest the air inlet seemed to grow faster! Time for a couple more pumps!

I have two tubs of B+ (my personal favorite so far) one grows large shrooms, the other grows small shrooms. my results seem to agree with Burple's... the small shroom tub v. the large shroom tub produce aprox the same gram amt in the end. I think air exchange def. has something to do with it. altho the other difference is...
tub 1 I broke up apon birthing and placed directly on pearlite...
tub 2 I cut in cucumber slices and placed on perlite.
tub 2 grows 25g + per shroom.
tub 1 grows 5grams per shroom.
the other difference is tub 2 has a simple lowes grocery style baggie over it and tub one has a nice clear plactic peice... they both get aired out about once a day, but tub two doesn't seal well, so it get's air exchange that way.
still like b+'s... PF says that abhorts (which i have hardly any of with b+'s) are the most potent by weight... so are the smaller ones better? any imput?

Cabby I like those results..! I decided I was going to try my hand at casing so I took a fully colonized 1 pint jar of Equador and did what you said, cut it into 'cucumber slices.' That was last week and they just started pinning yesterday...mine are also just covered with two trashbags. Hopefully I will be getting fat ass shrooms like you did! And lots of them too!
About the abhorts being more potent...i'm not too sure about that one...I've always tripped hardest off the mature shrooms.
