another thing . i've been reading posts on here since april.
didn't post anything until i encountered problems.
as to your number of posts . who gives a shit. out of five hundred maybe five had any pertinant info.
i don't want an outrageous number of posts in such a short period.

I hate to add to this post which is getting lamer by the minute but post count doesnt mean shit. I have been reading this site since 99 and didnt register till 2001 and ive read probably every damn post on this board over those 4 years yet I only have 300 something posts. I dont know why you think because you have more posts than someone or because you say you have read more posts that you automatically have more knowledge than them? It comes from hands on experience in the field, not by reading a bunch of text and anno is one of the most experienced people on these boards along the lines of Ryche, Max, Una, etc. I think this thread should be locked if its just going to turn into a flame fest because you think you are better than someone.

Never said I was better, just more well informed. ?The more well informed you are the better chance you have to succeed. ?I already have posted pics of my success and have plenty more "cooking" because of the knowlege I've gained here.
Believe anything you want about post count, but anyone that just reads posts stealthly without asking a question or adding a comment for two or three years is just plain weird! ?So, in other words, I don't believe you. Unless you're really a strange and very disturbed sociopath... Are you?
As for Anno, I totally agree that he's EXTREMELY knowlegeable and well informed as well as being quite literate and bright, although a bit critical and closed-minded.
There's no question that he is one of the most experienced and clever mycologists I've ever had the pleasure to encounter.

You guys are wrong! I think PF was the first person to say that psilocybe mushrooms lose their potency or stop production of alkaloids once the veils break. He also still claims that BRF is the best substrate for potency!
The idea of potency variations once the veil has broken is false and i will bet any of you $50 that you cannot prove that psilocybe cubensis 'loses' potency when its veil breaks or that the fruit stops producing alkaloids.
In many cases, cubensis fruits are only partially mature when their veils break, and days from sporelation. I know from experience that the mushroom does not begin to lose potency until it has reached full maturity - otherwise the oxidisation of psilocin would be evident. This means that it CONTINUES to produce alkaloids right up until the fruit has served its purpose.
Stamets suggests that Psilocybe Cubensis be harvested after the veil breaks - before sporelation at full maturity. This is proof that Stamets does not see any connection with alkaloid production and veil ruptures.

Not only that, but it doesnt make sense. Some spore-races of cubensis lose their veils quite early in maturity - long before they have sporelated.
