overdue shroom harvesting!

ok, my friend has been out of town for two weeks, during that time he had 8 jars colonizing under a small amount of light...6 of them grew shrooms invitro, and 4 cakes were in a terrarium, with loads of water on the perlite and some ventialation. the shrooms in the terrarium grew well but when i got abck they looked dark brown or even blackish, but full grown. the shrooms, invitro, in the hjars, had mashed up against the sides of the jars and turned a dark brown/black color because of the lack of space, and the cakes grew well but had the same discoloration. are these okay to consume, or does this mean that they have gotten rotten and may possibly be poisonous? I've laid the full grown ones in a drying chamber. what's the consensus on this? are they cool to eat, poisonous, or down right death material? any ideas? thanks...

When in doubt, throw them out...

Unfortunately, growing shrooms requires a little bit of forethought. I try to plan out my little journeys a month or two in advance so I won't have to be in that situation.

Could you possibly take a pic of them?

did they open up and release spores?? if they did they will be *extremely* hard to keep down.... i never gave any to my monkeys so i dont know if they'll let you talk to god... peace
