If I'm not mistaken, in the American legal system, you have a right to face your accuser. You should be able to obtain that information.

You don't get to know who the tip was from. The accuser in this case is the state. My friend got busted for having a party, because somebody called it in. They asked the police who called it in but they don't give out that info.

The cool thing is they didn't get in trouble because the cops just walked in without a warrant, even with the anonymous tip they weren't supposed to go in. The pig just walked in through the back door and let all of the other pigs in.

Bontanical, get a good lawyer.........you got screwed!!

I did a little research into sentencing.
It varies from state to state, but the federal sentencing guidelines are .1 g of WET mushrooms= 1 gram of marijuana and 1 g dry=1 gram mj.
I think that's pretty "reasonable" as far as such things go (yeah we all know drug laws suck...), and most smallish shroom operations aren't going to get you automatically nailed to the wall.
At least that's my rationale :smile:

I personally think that the MAN would not try and pop you by yourself growing shrooms for yourself...The small-timers they pop are those who they believe will pussy out and make a deal to give up someone else higher on the chain...and spores aren't illegal so the probability that your story would make a good casing material(SHIT) is very high. I hardly ever hear of people in my area getting busted over shrooms. The cops have bigger fish to fry. Cocaine Dealers, Heroin Dealers, Meth, etc. So as much as your story seems to try and scare people or possibly deface JLF(which I personally have never ordered from...), It reeks of shit. One person I would be worried about is spore magic. He apparently went to JAIL. I would be a bit paranoid if I had made an order with him right before he went down. Other than that guys just stay safe.

A friend of mine inoculated 20 PF jars last night. He made ten jars with store-bought organic brown rice flour and put the Matias Romero in those, and he used brown rice and made his own flour for the other ten which received the Equador strain. I will keep you guys poster on his progress, and maybe he will let me take some pics.

i don't know if this story is true or not, but to those of you who say the cops won't bother you because they look for the big people, not the personal growers - how many of you have seen cops sit next to the side of the road for hours at a time looking for someone going 10 mph over the speed limit? i think we all have, and a lot of cops get off on this. do you not think that those same cops would orgasm if they caught someone growing shrooms? even if it's only a couple cakes, it's big, and it makes the cop look good. if i went up to a cop and said, 'he's growing shrooms', do you not think the cop will be in the house right away?(perhaps after a visit to the nearest bathroom stall) saying that cops don't care about us is just close minded. if you think that, you're relaxing too much. paranoia isn't necessarily a bad thing. don't think they don't care. they do. everyone needs to be carefull. i know i used to be paranoid when i first started, then i came here, and saw all these people who were growing and didnt' seem worried about it, and even said not to worry about it. i started to get too comfortable. as camel said somewhere else, you have to remind yourself that this is illegal, and if caught, you can go to jail. it's only a hobby, but it's still a very illegal hobby. please, everybody, be careful. don't get sloppy. i don't want to hear of anyone(else) getting busted.

i have no idea. i would have to say 'yes', though. especially after we made it to high times 100, i'd be surprised if SOMEONE wasn't keeping an eye on the site. don't give out any info you don't want 'them' to know.

I don't know man, I would think that the cops would rather catch you dealing than growing. If this story is true, why didn't the cops wait and find out what you were going to do with the shrooms?

The most complete software privacy package I've seen is at www.freedom.net. Its $60 for a year. It masks where you are browsing, where you are browsing from, and encrypts all communication between you and the freedom net. It leaves the freedom net as regular internet traffic, but can't be traced to you.

They did a damn good job, IMHO. There are other services, but I haven't seen any that protect traffic between you and your ISP.
