Extremely intrieged by the idea of using beer intead of water. My friend siad that he's going to try it using guiness on rye berry's with a tasmanian print .How ever were curious to know how your project is going? Last we've heard was on 9-20 or so . Dont meen to be impatient just curious?     :shocked:

Rather than using it to begin with what if I used it to inject the resovoir in my cake. What would that do?

my cat whiskers told me that he injected a few cakes wiht a can of rolling rock (boiled for 10 mins and let to cool covered) and growth sped up noticable in the two already growing cakes of BRF, where 1/3 of the cake colonized in 48 hours. when the cat injected the throbing cock into two rye grain jars that had stalled (btw question to follow) growth continued for about 5 minutes then stopped.

does anyone have experience with the following situation:

Jars are nearing complete surface colonization. Most are about 50-75% colonized on the surface with very rizomorphic growth. Also I have lost one to the nasty green mold

As a side note: i hope i didn't contam my syringes as it was my first time making them.

(forgive me- off topic a bit here)

I have seen evidence that drinking about a 12 pack a day for about three days before taking a drug test SEEMS to help one pass one for THC- It apears to "flush" the system out as good as anything else sold for it. (people have disputed this, but I have seen people do this that were daily smokers)

THC is not stored in your body in any way that can be cleansed, it needs to be metabolised.

Anything you do the day before or days before is just a waste of time. Exercise and things that raise your metabolism can do some good but not much really and they may increase the amount of THC metabolized into your urin between the time you flush yourself and the time you pee in the cup.

Interesting beer stuff. Try this some time, boil honey, wheat/rye berries, brewers yeast and humus slime. That should be a great combination for a liquid nutrient solution.

My friend drinks a gallon of  Peri-Blend Herbal Tea (You can get this behind the counter at GNC) a few hours before testing.. Seems to clear him out REAL well..  :crazy:

One more jar has been lost to green mold. Hopefully this will be the last jar in this batch I lose. All other jars are progressing well. I Will be casing all the cakes in small bread pans, cased with aqua coir when they have fully colonized.

2 more lost to the green mold...it's as though a plauge is coming over my crop. :frown:
I'll keep you guys updated.

Also I dunno if this might be considered a grow log now but if it is I would apreciate a mod moving it to the apropriate forum and pm'ing me a link.

doesn't dark beer contain caramilised sugar, which is why it's dark?

I know shrooms don't like caramised sugars.

I'd recon a light beer is better.

Well I'm down to 6 jars. I beleive the contam problem was due to me not taping the holes in the lid up. I just started another project and inoculated 18 jars of Z-strain today.

I read this thread when it first poped up and quite taken by it. So I decided to boil a Corona for 15 mins and then inject to my casings of Z starain. I did (after it was cooled of coarse) inject them into my casings after thier first flush. IT KILLED EVERYTHING. So everyone else out there that thinks this could work, I have news for you, it does nothing but cuase heart ache. And now, I have nothing to take a print from, I don't suppose anyone out there would take pity on me and maybe send me another print, does'nt matter what kind. Just to keep on truckin', PM me. Well thanks for lending me your ear. And be wary of beer! (at least when it comes to cultivating.) Otherwise Bottoms up!!!!! :grin:

Well that's what you get for using crappy mexican beer. I used some dark beer, specifically michelob amber bock, and it's doing well, no contams, still alive and kicking.
