Help Me on my Hallucinogens paper- on shamanic use

hi
im doing a paper for school on hallucinogens in general, but i would like some help on a section in it on - Historical and Modern Shamans

some points on the section i want to touch on
-traditional entheogens associated with which cultures
-depicting the ceremony
-belief

keep in mind this is only one section in a general subject, im looking to write a brief description on a number of cultures and entheogens

entheogens exist all over the world. Celtic (ancient irish) peoples used liberty caps. apparently they were available to lewis carrol a 19th century british writer (maybe fly agaric). those are some of the lesser talked about ones i know of. good luck, have fun writing your paper, and get an A

You'd probably have better luck, and find more useful information, searching an online academic journal database like JSTOR. You'd have to find legitimate references for anything we told you here, anyways. Good luck with your paper though! I finished my final paper last night, now it's exam time!

Read Breaking Open the Head by Daniel Pinchbeck.
Talk about all those westerners getting healed by mystical shamanic wonders.
Apparently true shamans have mastered the dream state so as to be completely lucid in their dreams, enabling them to travel to other dimension and realities and all that dandiness. In S. American shamanism, it is believed that each mushroom has its own purpose, some for healing, others for guidance, others for divination, etc. There have been some white boys going down to S. America and training w/ shamans and they've now got the shamans thumbs up. Shamans embrace the intuitive aspect of reality as well as the your mind manifests it sorta thing. Shamans sure are dandy. I want to take ayahuasca in a ceremony.better hurry before the oil companies rape all the wonders of the earth. OM on wooooo.
