material danger of tripping

Hi i was wondering if someone could give me some advice.

Does anyone get the feeling that they're sort of "tempting fate" when they're on mushrooms? Lately Ive felt like my trip is going to have extreme consequences such as my own death or the death of someone in my family or something, through some kind of divine intervention. I dint mean god is going to strike someone with a lightning bolt or anything, more like the final destination movies if your familiar with any of them. (I know incredibly stupid movies, but it explains the situation) During many trips Ive felt like i should step in to some situation to keep someone from dying, when there is logically no reason to worry for this person.

This feeling usually comes with what i think is this "synchronization" with my environment. As i trip harder everything is escalating in my head, and since i feel so synchronized with my environment, so naturally it feels like my true environment is being escalated just like this universe in my head. Of course I'm not even sure these were just coincidences and i was just bugging out.

I realize that even if I am connected in this way, that it is doubtful that I am actually causing all these things, and more likely that I am observing premonitions based on my environment. But as i am part of this environment, (Mostly speaking spiritually, instead of materially, because I'm not afraid that i will physically cause a death) i could have an external forces on my environment.

Anyways logically i realize that all of this is probably just me fearing letting go of my ego, because the psychedelic experience is basically a near death experience, or and ego death can be experienced

Has anyone gone through this and eventually had their trip escalate to ego loss, and realize that they weren't "tempting fate"? If you never even believed in any of this fate stuff, please don't just post that its your fear of ego loss. I would like the advice of someone who was going through the same thing, and eventually did go through some phase of ego loss or something which dispelled this fear of real death.

If i trip and try to reach this next level, do i have anything to really worry about besides my own mentality?

Temporary death of the ego, perhaps.

The only thing to fear, is fear itself.

My suggestion is that you let go, and go with the flow. You are worrying too much. Don't worry yourself to death.

IMO there is no "tempting" fate... because fate is what you make it.

Death is a natural part of life and it is quite normal to think of dying every once in a while. Good for the soul. Just don't fear it or become consumed by it. Go, with, the, flow.

Because thought does create reality.

Everything will be alright.

I think it's just you feeling that you're close to have an ego death and being aware that your state is so "different" from the rest of the people, only that YOU are close yo "yourself" and you perceive the others as being far away (as in dead or close to dying etc)... since we all get a symbolic interpretation while tripping.
Next time you trip I suggest that you let yourself deeper into that feeling and go check it out in  deeper meaning. It's all good about the mushrooms, the problem comes from ourselves not being able to crack their code :smile:.

Adam and Eve felt guilty also. It is the myth of the birth of Consciousness from the 'womb' or 'garden' of unconsciousness. They ate the 'fruit of the Knowledge [Gnosis] of Good and Evil.' So have you. This is not to equate the myth with physicality, but the myth applies to the eating of fungal 'fruiting bodies' as well, since Consciousness is likewise awakened. It is experienced as a disobedience to a powerful Authority which may well be masquerading as God, but may not be the Final Authority but a 'Demiurgic' Authority - the Shadow side of God which created us in our originally unconscious state. Individuating into separate beinghood feels like a 'crime' as we break away from our unconscious ignorance and seek greater Consciousness (Light). It's supposed to happen this way, the movement from determinism to free-will.

the only material dangers I've ever felt was when walking around town on hefty doses of LSD and having to walk past the police station/courthouse and/or having to talk to police officers
