Letter to a right-wing, women's Christian political group after their editorial supporting the ban on MMJ. web page
Dear CWA:
I think your position on Medical Marijuana is contrary to Biblical teachings. God gave us every plant for a reason. To outlaw some of his creation is outlandish. More importantly, Christ again and again demonstrated compassion for one another. Prison for a terminally ill person (and/or his/her doctor for attempting to ease their suffering) who is unable to find relief through another medicine is an anti-Christian stance. How does that possibly show love and understanding? Is a politican or religious leader more medically qualified than a doctor with many years of study and certification to understand the personal risks/benefits of various treatments?
The path to God is not about political affiliation nor rhetoric nor social popularity. It is about the heart.
In spirit,
Swami

I'm happy to say I've never seen your back...
Or are you talking about one of those pictures that was posted a while back? I thought someone was just pretending they were you!

I would have probably said "if you want your own to suffer, then let them suffer and you will be surrounded with suffering people"
but you are a farm more compassionate man than I am

Yeah that's a nicely phrased short little letter. Send it off. I'd like to see what they say back.

I think Swami is just a chameleon who pretends to be whoever he wants to get the point across. I notice in his postings at the racketball forum that he is a very different Swami when trying to persuade racketballers of the value of MMJ than the Swami we see here.

Every person is a mirror, and we are all but mere reflections.
