The sun god.
    #3517232 - 12/18/04 01:31 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

What are your opinions on the sun.

Everything revolves around the sun. Could we exist without the sun or would the earth freeze over. Some people predict that the sun will one day vanish and many civilizations will return into the dark. I think that the sun will never vanish but will grow larger and larger and more will soon exist around the sun. New planets, new civilizations, and new beings will soon exist.

What has existed before will never exist again in the same light as it once has.

How do we know there are not only one sun in the galaxy. That exists in the middle of creation. With little suns all around it. Or could the center of all that exists be the real creator. Some kind of giant orb in the middle that sees everything. Sort of like a passage way from inwards and outwards. Accessing the galaxy from within. Only to realize we are fractalized on the outside. The real creator must have some purpose. Or like i said before is an entity that is too large and is confused with all the mass and doesn't know what to do with it.

Jesus said, "I have cast fire upon the world, and look, I'm guarding it until it blazes."

Jesus said, "Whoever is near me is near the fire, and whoever is far from me is far from the kingdom."

Jesus said, "Images are visible to people, but the light within them is hidden in the image of the Father's light. He will be disclosed, but his image is hidden by his light."

Heh sorry, I have to related everything to the Gospel of Thomas today

My interpretation - "I have seen the great sun and realize it is the center of what exists"

esus said, "Whoever is near me is near the fire, and whoever is far from me is far from the kingdom."

"We need the sun to survive, so we must follow the sun."

Jesus said, "Images are visible to people, but the light within them is hidden in the image of the Father's light. He will be disclosed, but his image is hidden by his light."

I think here he is aiming to point at that the creator is the sun. "Father's light".. the rest i'm not really sure how to interpret.

i myself believe in eveything being an aspect of THE GOD who encompasses all things, even the lesser gods, if they exist.

in that sense you could say the sun is a part of or face of god, but you could also say that bugs and cement and tar are aspects or faces of god.

to me sun worship is a mistake of people, unable to grasp an invisible god of inconievable glory they instead fixate on the biggest shiniest thing they can SEE and say 'that must be god'

Well without the heat from the sun, there would be tiny organisms existing in the cold. Maybe even different and yet even stranger life that can take such an environment.

its true that life seems to adapt to an incredible array of situations, in fact i think i read about some kind of life that could survive in the vaccum of space but i might have dreamed it.

I think that it could mean that the "fire" or sun has been cast on the earth and for the time being we are protected but eventually the sun will grow so big it will devour the earth (which when it happens will probably be a good thing)

Then the next closest planet will be closest to his kingdom so new life will be born there. Who knows, maybe god just grows life on planets like we would mushrooms on cakes so he can eat them up.

We can see images because god shines his light on them, but because the light makes us see images we cannot see god within them?

wow thats some trippy thinking.

you got some good thoughts going actually, and in fact i kind of agree. i think god basically takes us from his essence and makes us individual so that we can eventually be reassimilated into him, or eaten up. but we grow in the period of seperation, maybe thats how god continuously expands... or something.
