Started harvesting this Jack Frost tub last night. Only one third cos its quite a bit and the 2 dehydrators cant deal with the whole tub at once.

I noticed that harvesting a bit earlier compared to the previous tubs, fruits feels firmer and bruise a lot more.

And this is the 2nd flush on another Jack Frost tub. I have heard that second flushes normally come with big monsters, I just wasnt expecting this beast. Thats a 150g fruit if Ive ever seen one. Will see soon once it hits the scales.

Love this little buddy growing out of crumbs. And the network throwing some ropes to keep it fed, amazing shit.

If you increase fae a lot in the last stage of maturity (24-12hrs), you can delay the beginning of rot which is what is happening when they get soft and mooshy

I explain it in full Here. That’s about PE but works for any variety.  It just works faster the less dense a variety is.

It’s a good technique for varieties that don’t sporelate until late in maturity so you can increase the fae and let the fruits mature fully without worrying about them rotting prematurely

@0_tonin, Zef took the words from my mouth! HEFTY coverage with those JF mate, big ups!
:respect:
Those two ufo capped, brownish centred phenos caught my eye & continue to draw my attention.
:neat:
The biggies are good too.

@Wedgie Good seeing you too bud, yeah haworthia look juicy.  still gardening but moving to damage control/seaosonal prep mode. The winds are starting- a fww of my cosmos have already taken the hit.
:emotionalmoment:
Putting some bulbs out today to do their thing over winter and I've pulled a few plants out to pottin shed etc.

@Agar wedge, blob or no blob I'm such a sucker fro a white shroom, tasty stuff!
:snowman:

pic tax, some reishi still chuggin away:

dub tubbed one, I'll eventually take a clone.

Normal tub, you can see where this eager bastard has been pushing the lid:

My high%wood semp MS tub, 'Ecco', is the saddest semp grow I've run since I started with them. Such a depressed substrate. It's thirsty, but also hydrophobic
:tearchalice:
Poor fuckin thing

As soon as my verm arrives, finally, I'll be scraping the surface raw, giving it a good ol drink and shlappin some verm on there. Then, I hope, the surface will tell a lot happier story... I'm pretty sure of it, and excited to see who all arrive since it's the first multispore semp I ran for ages.

^
'Camel'- my main semp culture. On a much lower%HWFP and mostly coir.
It's doing ok: it's pushing out a 6th flush since march. An absolutely relentless culture, I've never quite seen it put out the flushes as quickly in succession so I'll note that as a tentative/potential + for adding some HWFP. But it could be down to a lot of stuff:shrug:
Still, I'll be chucking that coir top away and verming it up when I do Ecco after thatI bet 7th flush will put up some rippers.
And on that note, I found a wedge baggie labelled "SEMP '25 CNTRL" with some yellowey dessicated remains in there, that would be just as I had started working 'Camel' seperately around the time I did a giveaway of it. So I put that to some agar, if it has life in it Ive save scummed a year +

@Zef Thanks mate, yeah stoked with how things are going. Credit to the culture though, I just do what is meant to be done.

@Lithop cheers dude! Oh you like that pheno? One of the previous tubs had heaps of them, look:

Amazing advice fahtster! Thanks
Yeah one tub I was being lazy and let them grow for quite a while, also waiting to see if gills would turn blue. They never did, and when I picked it felt a bit sus. Too squishy, mushy, just like you said.

Never thought that increasing FAE could prevent this while letting the fruits mature. Solid, thanks.

Pinset on some of the follow-up Zapo grows (going to be a Zappy winter).

Crosspost from the Woodlovers thread, cyans and subaers

And flowerpot cyans pinning

Gotta keep your cactus cutting pics away from my wife, she might make a run for it. Holy fuck Stagger, that's some impressive psychological dynamite you got there. Holee shit. My jaws clench just from the sights.

Maybe I'll make a run for it. You're a cat person, right?

Sometimes surgery works, there was a spec of trich on one side, so I amputated it.

Happy Albino Country Cocks afterwards.

Busted out the RGB LED light, Yeti

Although maybe it's distracting, "Eungella" but actually almost certainly mislabelled Yeti. Gonna have to cross it with the landrace to save face lol

I went through my neglected agars retirement home, took any that hadn't fully dried up, then put them in the dehydrator.

Idk if I can figure out some sort of divination, but it seems like an option for creating organic world maps for fantasy.
