Nah, soaking is boring and with oats being a "filthy" grain, I'm wondering if it does more harm then anything.

I did use a hole punch for a while, but it gets too hot and takes ages to cool down so I stopped using it. And to be honest that was a lucky plate, almost every culture I work with is tomentose, even AROG is working it's way back to tomentose as we speak

Biggest one yet!

Do I consider this the end of the flush and harvest the little ones or do I just keep picking the big ones and let them continue to grow?

Smaller box

And yes I know I let a lot them break their veils and start dropping spores I do want to make a few prints

Some gymn spawn jars I made recently. Not necessarily expecting success, but figured it would be a good learning experience. The older one is straw and alder chips I started a week ago. There's a little bit of growth in there but I realized a lot of issues with it shortly after I pulled it out of the PC. Like the way it's so tightly packed in there I can't really give it a good mix by shaking. The newer jar I made last night with mostly Aspen sawdust and a little compost and straw. Have a better feeling about this one.

Albino Australian Eungella with a blue throat like Lord Vishnu

Swabbed it, put it on agar, I was light with the swab but unsure if it will just end up cloning it. Better to wait a few weeks for any gill fragments to die?
