This... 🥳🍺🏆 yeah that's good + true advice, that's how I eventually
learned what they seem to love.
The fruits and mycelium that is.
It's very moist/darn-near wet (the casing) but I do keep the lid
cracked or slightly bump UP the microcurrents for Tamps/Stone species.
Also heavily relying on FAE for evap, lowering CO2, etc.
Either way works great!
wet peets during early pinning

I love after a bit with a half-sand half-course vermiculite casing,
some of the casing layer peels off & it looks and feels like
fresh leather or something haha                             

Or like the coconut-icing peeling, from those Sno-ball cupcakes


I also, in my experience, I noticed AFTER pinning and when cap is
already almost opened up, significantly lowered humidity (close to 8%)
sometimes make the caps look a bit different too. I THINK that's what does it.
Moist caps
Dry caps, lower humidity

Just something I noticed, I could be completely wrong though
so you have just been disclaim-ered

It's only a stand alone shoe box, very limited space, no way for me to have drainage.

I'll have to toe the line, keep a watchful eye, and mist or adjust airflow as needed, try to keep it just north of soggy.

Had it on five-year plates and it still looks as good as normal.

Grafting tape isn't really a thing where I live, probably because of the short summers we have Where do you get yours?

That's such a great idea to put the rolls in plastic baggies. I recently started putting plates in shoeboxes after my girlfriend suggested it 😌 that's awesome Kloakk you got access to that lab, I'm sure stuff's fresh there
