For me they look ready, at least I would pick them at that stage. But I guess you could get them darker yet still. I'm definitely no trusted cultivator but I think I've got a good handle on the semps lol. But yeah for me I'd probably be harvesting now. They look good though!

getting darker for sure

gonna leave em cooking a few more days

I like them dark chocolate and dropping spores. Semps aren’t mushrooms that look fine one day and turn to slime the next morning.

Mackload they're looking amazing bro.

I've often let them go so dark I've seen the sub send white myc up as though to reclaim the fruit before the shroom even loses integrity. They are not fickle fruits and maintain their structure for a long time. Very stoked to see it man and hope whenever you try some you thoroughly enjoy your trip.

Here's my coir HWFP tub Camel, to my surprise he's thrown a quick 4th out over the last few weeks! I thought I'd be waiting a while. Pics from this morning, my tubs have all been left a bit dry/ in a stuffy low airflow area for 10 days.

Jeez maybe I should let more of them get that real darkness. I never had any complains on potency but if it can get even better than why not lol

So who's got a recommendation on some kind of strip lighting I can attach to the bottoms of each wire rack shelf? I used these halo lights and they're fine but a pain in the ass to set them all up and the plugin fails over time it seems. I tried little to no light and just got tubs full of spaghetti, they were still great but fuck were they a pain in the ass to work with. So I'd rather not do that again lol

I have Ionbeam 16s for 4 shelves, really like them, 10 light intensity, they are magnetic but also comes with mounts. And has a controller with a timer

Ok yeah that would definitely work, and I already use all aci stuff for my weed so that's cool lol. This will work perfectly

I used a single 4" 18W 5000k t5 style led light above the tent. ANY type of "grow light" is overkill for mush.

To be honest I needed something that also could be inside the temperature fridge and the new shelf I got. I'm on a 240V grid and don't have a lot of options :snub:

I only need enough light to direct them. Might go with vivosun instead cause I can get something much cheaper that should work just fine. I feel the semps really need some light or you get a tangled spaghetti mess. It seemed to fill the tub more maybe but what a pain in the ass

My semps disagree with you... Or perhaps not I may have misread your meaning.

These had a single 18W t5 style led above the tent. Bulb cost me less than $10

These make great lights for mush.

Lol if you're using a light then I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with. Also do semps have different strains? Cause those look nothing like the ones I've grown. Such fat bulbous looking caps on those ones

Semps can look rather different depending on how you treat them and Semps are hygrophanous just like Semilanceatas are. Most people, including me, keep them wet because they like a high rh but when you let them dry out they look way different and they look exactly like rockinrobot displayed. I harvested a tub with similar mushrooms the other day because I forgot about that tote for a few days and it dried out.

I'm pretty damn sure those are semps or at least something within section Zapotecorum, in fact they look A LOT like wild Semperviva specimens which is quite cool and that's quite a damn grow tbh so good job rockinrobot!:awesome: this looks absolutely awesome and tbh the coolest aesthetics I've seen on cultivated semps in a long time. Which fruiting method did you use? I love this look.

There are other varieties found in different places and honestly the fast line which most people here grow vs slow lines like Tres Soles look quite damn different.

HVC fast line

Tres Soles slow line

So seductive

all cakes birdseed inoculated at the same time. right wouldn't birth, possible bacteria, jar fruiting with verm casing.  left, birthed healthy looking but dry cakes, rolled in coir. finally coming along too

I beg to differ. They are indeed Semps. Feel free to check my grow log for them in my signature

The cakes in the jars lost faith in you not being able to birth them, told the birthed cakes you weren't worthy. Now that you got your jar cakes to the finish line they realized they were wrong and told the birthed cakes to move along as you now are their god. This is the only explanation :hehehe:

Thanks for the compliment.

To answer your question I grew them in a tent.

Tent was set up to exhaust 2 minutes every 20. Based on my fan this was long enough to completely refresh tent air. Humidifier set to turn on at 85% and off ad 95%.

I also misted them heavily 2-3 times a day. They took anywhere from 40 to 52 days from spawn to harvest.
