Yeah it does suck but retaliation for a tame joke is unacceptable squashing of free speech.

If he made a joke about Charlie kirk being a dick or something it wouldve been more understandable but he just insinuated the shooter was a republican.  If that gets you fired as a comedian all free speech is in trouble.

Plus its antithetical to what Charlie kirk stood for. He was killed because he was using his free speech I guarantee he wouldnt want someone else to lose their platform because they said his shooter might be a republican. It was all stupid bullshit.

The clip that got Jimmy fired was of Trump glossing over Kirk's death to talk about the construction of his new ballroom. Hasn't been remodeled in over a hundred years they say.

The joke that got Jimmy fired was:

"He's in the fourth stage of grief - construction"

It's more of a to be taken off air because of blaming lies. Because that's what we hate about trump is the idiot lies.  Kimmel was the same and like trump nothing bad will happen to him. Oh no he got a few days off at work ans had to talk to his boss.

He's a comedian.  It's not like he's a news anchor.  Are you saying that someone should be censored for making jokes that aren't factually accurate?

He claimed Trump was in the fourth stage of grief.  We know this to be a lie, Trump is incapable of empathy, a prerequisite for grief.

as a comedian, lying in this context isn't against the law and the govt taking any action against it is unconstitutional, full stop.

what trump is doing is both illegal and highly immoral/unethical as an "elected" leader.

Even someone given a job appointment to a too-big-to-fail is not allowed to make it look bad. Neither are crisis actors. Don't sue me for a billion dollars, for saying so, thx.

That the Kirk shooter was maga. That got companies to boycott advertising his show. He was censored for lies he was censored for money. If you work job where actively harm the business ability to make money, bad things happen to you.

Incorrect.  Affiliate stations were pressured by the FCC chair to pull his show.  How were they pressured?  THE FCC chair explicitly threatened them with massive fines and implied he would block upcoming mergers.  It's insane anyone is defending this.  Even Ted fucking Cruz knows this wrong.

He was making fun of how maga responded to their 'tragedy', he didn't imply anything about the shooter
