Yeah it does suck but retaliation for a tame joke is unacceptable squashing of free speech.


If he made a joke about Charlie kirk being a dick or something it wouldve been more understandable but he just insinuated the shooter was a republican.  If that gets you fired as a comedian all free speech is in trouble.

Plus its antithetical to what Charlie kirk stood for. He was killed because he was using his free speech I guarantee he wouldnt want someone else to lose their platform because they said his shooter might be a republican. It was all stupid bullshit.

The clip that got Jimmy fired was of Trump glossing over Kirk's death to talk about the construction of his new ballroom. Hasn't been remodeled in over a hundred years they say.


The joke that got Jimmy fired was:

as a comedian, lying in this context isn't against the law and the govt taking any action against it is unconstitutional, full stop.

what trump is doing is both illegal and highly immoral/unethical as an "elected" leader.

Incorrect.  Affiliate stations were pressured by the FCC chair to pull his show.  How were they pressured?  THE FCC chair explicitly threatened them with massive fines and implied he would block upcoming mergers.  It's insane anyone is defending this.  Even Ted fucking Cruz knows this wrong.
