This is a good argument and not without merit. If you can give me more specifics, I could give you a better answer. I will say for now, however, that I agree Trump is taking a big gambit with the way he is operating and setting precedents that will be remembered for... probably centuries to come. Maybe millennia.

some quick info:

174 million Americans were registered to vote. this represents 74% of eligible Americans age 18+.

154 million Americans voted in 2024. this represents 88% of registered voters, 65% of eligible adults, and 45% of the US population.

74 million Americans are under age 18 and thus ineligible to vote.

in the 2024 election, the orange pedo received ~77 million votes. this represents 49.8% of the total votes and 22% of the US population.

you'd have to be absolutely disconnected from reality to think that in a country of 340,000,000 people, winning with 22% (77,300,000) of the population and less than 50% of the votes constitutes a mandate of any sort.
