2 shrooms in 1 syringe?

Hello everyone! Ive been growing shrooms for a couple years now mainly PE. However I came across something ive never seen before. I buy syringes online. They were supposed to be PE but it started growing what looked to be oysters...of course I cant ask the supplier so I have no idea what they are. BUT then 2 weeks after I start getting what looks to be PE. SO now im even more confused. Anybody know whats going on here?

Tell vendor that when you looked at spores under microscope you saw cubes spores mixed with unknown spores. Possibly oyster spores.

A good vendor will hook you up.

King tubers maybe? Kinda looks the part. I'm far far FAR from an expert here though so op please don't assume they're safe on my word. Try to get some close up pics all around and post them on the ID forums. If they are tubers though you owe me a beer

Definitely looks like oysters! Cross-species mixing does happen sometimes when vendors sell both active and edible spores syringes.

Id recommend visiting the vendors website and look in their "edible" LC/spore section. You just might find a match!

I did contact them and unfortunately they couldn't tell me much except that I was definitely sent PE so idk. But they did offer a free syringe on my next order.

Ive had mold contamination a few times before but this is new to me. I just looked up wet bubble and that's definitely what I have going on. I gave up on them and pushed them to the side but then a few days later went to toss them and I noticed a bunch of these new mushrooms growing which should be PE. Are they still safe to eat with wet bubble? I looked at a few websites but didn't get a clear answer I guess. My hubby wants to try them but im a little concerned. These new PE shrooms are looking pretty perfect though!

I  am not an expert, but I myself would not eat a contaminated fruit.
I heard someone put it in context for me, think of them as food, I myself do not enjoy rotten food :shrug:

Pretty cool to see two species in one cultivated environment despite the vendor troubles. I think catnip nailed the ID of the invader. :thumbup: Like oyster mushrooms, they can invade at any point in a grow so I would double check that syringe with another grow. It's probably fine.

Fairly sure that's not wet bubble.. just bacterial blotch. Which is extremely common in most grows to some level. Typically safe to consume though the thought of fresh isn't very attractive to me lol.

Not all contamination = rotten.

I dont throw away my tomatoes if theres a pesty nightshade next to it

I was going on the assumption it was a contaminated fruit, and yes, I would toss a tomato if it did not look right. :shrug:
Guess I am just a scaredy pants, but I have had food poisoning, and if it is even a question to me I toss it, a 50-cent tomato is not worth 4 days of suffering.

Im just sayin its more nuanced than contam=rotten.

Trich in your soil is great for your plants, rotten fruit is obvious wether its the tomatoes on your counter or the mushrooms in your fridge.
